MTUT, Quick question. On your SO trade on 3/17, other than the doji, was there another entry trigger that you used? Just curious, thanks!by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

If I remember my notes correctly, in order to prove you have a legit trading business, you have to show at least 200 transactions for the tax year. That doesn't mean 200 trades, but 200 "transactions". Examples of transactions are: depositing funds, transfering funds, buying a position, selling a position, moving funds between your "three legged table", W/O trades, etc. Givenby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Let's see, QIHU hit laminated support on 1/24 on 3 charts (Daily, 233, and 55), and the Weekly was already indicated higher. Can you say "BUTT UGLY OBVIOUS"? If this stock was in my "basket", I would have jumped this trade at 10:25am on 1/27 ($86.27) and rode it up to the TBB on the Daily (would have exited near end of today) for a very nice profit. I don't trade off of anythiby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Excellent trade, ya'll, according to Weekly & Daily, WYNN is poised to continue lower for a while.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Thanks much, Darcy! Based on that information, I created the following SD formula that ya'll are welcome to try using the Custom Field Wizard, or simply as an Alert Manager setup in SD. For those of you using SD, please feel to vet this formula and let me know if I've missed anything. This formula first checks for simultaneous FPs on 55, 34 and 21 (since FPs are subsets of HRFPs), and thenby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that trade, Darcy. I see what you're saying. Nice tradeby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Hi Darcy, Quick question about your IEP trade. You mentioned you were watching the 55 min chart for an entry. Looking at the Weekly, Daily, and 233 on IEP, all of which whose indicators were indicated lower, I didn't see an entry point on the 55 min chart on 12/30. Short of the 55 showing bullish divergence, there's no reversal pattern, no IVS, and no DE trigger. Just curious what "triggeby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
If GW had instructed folks to trade these odd-ball options, then we'd all know what they were. That said, many folks on this forum are current/former WSB students, and don't care about trading odd-ball options, hence the lack of responses.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
I check the Best Trends link (>8%) and beginning tracking those stocks using what we were taught in RTP and DE classes, using big charts and buying time. The trend data doesn't always match the current chart evidence (or, as GW calls it, "evah-dance", but when it does..... OMG, so much fun watching these trades coming to you. But, once you're in one of these trades, you have to have tby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

MTUT, Would you mind sharing your FP column formulas that you use in SD? Many thanks!by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

BigMoney, Which charts and MAs are referencing for GOOG and WYNN? Thanks! RTby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Excellent trade for your S/O, Darcy! Wife and I are on vacation, and have been shopping all day, so I missed the trade. But, would have gotten in on the 13 min chart at 9:43am for a nice run up based on what Daily and 233 were showing. Move still has a few dollars left to run up before hitting major resistance... Awesome job, guys!by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Anyone have a clue how to set up autowave in StrategyDesk?by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Weekly QQQs set-up certainly showing a potential downturn, based on my RTP notes.Trade well, ya'llby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
For those of you who've taken RTP, you'll recognize that the entry point for CMG was on 9/16 @ 9:40am (using big charts to locate the trade) for a multi-day play.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Hi Robert, I noticed on one of your screen shots (for Netflix) that you had a 20 day, 13 min timeframe. Is there a way to customize such timeframes on TOS Charts? Just curious, thanks much! Kind regards, RaleighTraderby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Does this method work on the Daily and 233 charts? Thanks much! - RaleighTraderby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Another option to find a specific company's earnings is http://www.earningswhispers.com, and enter the stock symbol you want to find in the "Get Whisper" box. Or, you could use the following link, attaching the stock symbol on the end. Example: To find the next earnings date for IBM, key in http://www.earningswhispers.com/stocks.asp?symbol=ibm into your web browser.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
IMHO, NFLX Weekly, Daily, and 233 are all pointing to a big move down, for a while :-)by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
I use the SD platform and it works fantastic! Allows me to see the charts all day, even through our company firewall, which I wasn't able to do with QCharts.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Darcy, When you mention adding Moneyflow, are you referring to the Money Flow Index (standard indicator)? If so, would you mind sharing what settings you use for Length and Thickness? Thanks!by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Thanks for the feedback on SD, Darcy. SD works great at "work" (behind corp firewall), but I could never get QCharts to work at "work". I check the charts at 1:23 and 3:50 as instructed, big chart trades only.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Did the TDAmeritrade rep happen to mention when this year they were pulling StrategyDesk? I've enjoyed using it & have been very successful with it. Sounds as though I'll need to check out TS. Thx.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
