Thanks MTUT, makes sense. I've noticed the exact same thing in terms of a small back up before entering the trade. Having the E signals fire all at the same time is more of a "here we go" signal. Waiting for the small backup before trade entry and continuation is key. Thanks for sharing your insights!by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
MTUT, When you enter an E trade (w/ all signals firing), are you then immediately entering a GTC sell order (based on potential support/resistance location or other reason) with a % target price, or is there a particular chart and/or moving average cross you monitor to alert you when to exit? Or, is it just a "feel" you have that an exit is nearing? I know we've mentioned using 5smaby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
NMR Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > RaleighTrader- are you using the "E" for big > chart trades- like TSLA above? NMR, Actually, no, this wasn't a big "E" chart trade. This as a RTP/Double Espresso trade. That said, I've just created SD code to highlight a big "E" chart trade, similar to what MTUT is doing for small chby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

Made 8 practice trades today using E/ADX/MF/Trend indicators on 6 charts (34,21,13,8,5,3). And, 7 of those trades were successful (see below). Ignore the dollar amounts (these were practice) and focus on the entry and exist prices. The 8th trade, on NFLX, hasn't fired yet.. Still need to determine the right exit point for these E trades (especially when they're not working). Not sure what theby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
MTUT, Great trading, dude! Is there a rule of thumb you are following in terms of when to "exit" when the trade isn't work? Just curious. Kind regards, RTby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

Ok, for all of you SD die-hards out there, here's the code I used to create a Custom Field for an E-signal on a 34 min chart. This also includes MTUT's ADX, Money Flow, and Trend indicators as well. LOL, I only bought 1 contract of each, as these were purely practice. Just on price, you'll notice that CREE made a 17.65% return, and MA (which is still climbing) made a 15.79% return. So the "loss" on CREE was due to commissions being higher than the trade amount.by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

MTUT, When you check the ADX and Money Flow values when you see all 5 E columns turn the same color, are you checking ADX and Money flow values for all 6 charts? Also, what values (thresholds) are you looking for to enter the trade? I'm using 34, 21, 10, 8, 5 & 3 E charts on StrategyDesk, which allows custom columns for all time frames. I would also like to incorporate the ADX and Moneyby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

Nice result on QCOM, mtut! QCOM isn't a stock I track, but just looking at the setup, the 233 showed bullish divergence on 1/30 @ 1:23, with both Daily and 233 below my DE line. My DE trigger would have gotten me in @ 1:23 on 2/2 for a pretty good move up. I may have to add this stock to my list :-). Just curious what the entry point was on 2/9 for QCOM?by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
No worries, MTUT, happy to continue contributing my trades here for the benefit of others. I use OptionsXpress for real money trades, and switched to their Charles Schwab pricing model, which is a little less expensive than their standard OX pricing. You just have to call them and ask. This is especially beneficial if you are trading large numbers of contracts (e.g., QQQs). For charting, I conby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
mtut, Thanks for posting your trades for January, pretty cool stuff. The KMI entry/exit numbers looked a bit suspect, however ;-). I think you'll be just fine on TSLA. The technicals are setting up nicely for a run up going into earnings Feb 18, and is further supported by historical trends as well. Keep you the good work!! Great call on RKT on 10/15. Divergences plus a major reversal on the Daily (bullish engulfing) was a nice set up, especially if you used a double espresso entryby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Robert, Just a quick question on the image below. I checked the May 6 Daily charts for CSCO, FNMA and YHOO, and didn't see any divergence (at least the way it was taught in RTP class). Is there another time frame or underlying indicator being used to indicate divergence for these stocks? Just curious, thanks much! RaleighTraderby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

MTUT, I finally got around to creating an SD workspace to mimic Darcy's setup (similar to your's above). The only difference is, I consolidated the e signals (for 55, 34, 21, 10, 5 and 3) into a single column on the quote sheet (red for up, green for down), since all e signals have to be in place to do the trade. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm wondering if having each e signal in it's ownby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
