Please dont misinterpret my comments for negativity. My comments were only meant to address the comment "Gary taught 1-5 incorrect". There are many ways to trade and Gary has educated many however that being said, Gary only trades big charts. Doesnt make him correct and anyone else wrong. It just is what it is. If you hadnt mentioned the FOMC was meeting and announcing I wouldnt have known. Could care less about economic reports or the FOMC. I would follow GW rules going through earnings or I would take the profit by 2pm the day before earnings. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Let me clarify: THe indicators are what matters but: technically: Yes, the MA's are averages of price. WHen a trade is entered if the indicators have not changed then its still a trade regardless of the price. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Dan, From my understand "taught the original 1-5 incorrect" is extreme. The premise of 1-5 was to provide all types of traders the ability to make profitable trades. Whether you just wanted to do the vault of if you wanted to trade the slingshot on the QQQ's. Gary's delivery now and what all should have taken from 1-5 is that over time trading the big charts (D,233) should supply a rby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion

Awesome trade Darcy. For anyone interested in how to capitlize this trade utilizing big charts please assess that the weekly chart found support on the 50 MA in the FWTZ with the daily being outside the bottom BB on 1/7. Darcy and her S/O sounds like they have fined tuned their craft and you can capitlize that same move with some basic knowledge about big charts. 1/7's close was 209 a share and Lby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
There are too many variables to list. - Happy with profit? -season -time of month -earnings? -split? Typically staying would be the answer as the next bigger time frame typically drives the ultimate direction. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Wallemac 1. No 2. Dont look at the price. Wouldnt know what the swing is. When the autowave forms I pay attn to the MACD. If both look like they are done then I get out. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Raleigh Trader -- Intentions were not to impress you. Pt was to show that big charts could be utlized by 1 stock and be effective. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
neither. DOnt consider the news.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
THe autowave on the Daily had not completed to the down side and I do not trade against the auto wave. Example: If I make a 233 trade both the 233 and Daily auto wave must be going with the trade. I do not have to have the weekly auto going with me in that example though. The trade chart and next largest time frame is my only concern. THe same thought process could be applied to small charts.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I have the priveledge of having access to the market intra day. WHen I make a big chart chart I do not analyze anything less than the 233. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
When I go through earnings I typically I will cover the position in case they miss. My exit criteria is typically when the auto forms. In the case of GOOG through earnings I would exit that trade when it is so far out of the TBB. I have found in options that the market will pay a greater price on news first thing in the AM than it would later even if the stock might be higher in price. THis is a follow up from my original post about only trading one stock (GOOG). 8/27/13 $852.29 ---- 8/30/13 $846.90 Put 233 Chart 9/3/13 $860.18 ---- 9/19/13 $897.45 Call 233 Chart 9/23/13 $887.31 -----9/30/13 $877.87 Put 233 Chart 10/10/13 $866.62 ---10/18/13 $1104.15 Call 233 Chart (through earnings) These types of movements are why it is only necessary to pick a handful of viby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
This is just my opinion. If you have read any of my post im sure you are tired of my "I am not licensed and please do not accept this as advice" but I am giving it again here. FB weekly TBB has expanded significantly. We are in the FWTZ. THe daily has pulled back. Looks fine to me. WOuldnt be surpised if it blew through the $54-$55 mark. It's the fall winter and the market is making new highs. GOOG going higher. Puts typically never work unless you are in and out this time of year. I don't know what you are referring to as the death cross but I concur with Darcy on that definition. No disrespect. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
LNKD 233 I assume around 10/29 does not show a fat pitch on my charts. My charts look very similar but not exactly. I have the autowave which makes it look a lot different. I use Qcharts and have no intentions of leaving. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Great trades Rookie. No reason to leave either trade though. Im not licensed nor am I gary W but would be happy to answer any big chart stumbles any one may have. If you were like me then you are making it MUCH harder than it actually is. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion

"I was talking to a fellow tader a while back and he had said that when he took GW's RTT class GW showed where he was up $420,000.00 on a GOOG trade. GW was riding the bollinger band up the trade. I think some of us could retire if we made $420,000.00 per trade." Plase do not become enamored by Garys trading or success. From a common sense approach, how many losers do you think mutual funds had this year? The DOW beggining Nov last year was roughly 12,800 and it currently sits @15,500. Thats 21% and the mutuals should have had a really good year. Typically if there is not a crash in October then the market continues going up.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion

There is also "chunky money" widows and orphans. Buy a stock on the weekly in the FWTZ and leave it alone until the beginning of the spring trans. Zone. If you want 5% monthly avg then go ahead and figure that price to net 60% and set a GTC. You don't even need to sell options. Much easier than printing or finding a new stock monthly. Mini's are simply blocks of 10 instead of 100. THey move penny for penny to the traditional option. THey were designed for the investor that couldnt afford AAPL options. Great way to get started with stocks that move.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I am by no means trying to sway you or anyone out of the trade. I simply dont trade big charts when there is that much space between the current $$$ and the bottom boll band. Also analyze the gaps that you see that flow into the weekly. Adage on the street is gap down to go down. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Chairman, In the case of ISRG is a perfect example of why MOST should turn the candles off. Please look at the daily chart on ISRG with the candle ON then OFF. IT is pretty clear to see that the CC has in fact not crossed at all and there is no trade to be had there. That can be verified by the fact that there is no weekly indicator verified support.
