Maybe this is a repetitive question, but, can there be some elaboration around this TAD chart ? IF it is something that can be found in a particular chapter that would be good. How is it different that Gary's?by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Supply and demand do not value price like the stock price. In any derivative the market maker chooses prices and can manipulate prices to make you get out of a trade that would end up profitable. THat is why I never look at my brokerage account unless I have indication that the trade is over.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Typically you wouldnt enter a position going through earnings however most people bought the news on GOOG and the professionals shorted the position to make a quick buck. (Read Market Makers Edge). The price should be ok in time, you will just have to be patient.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
The 5th candle on the 55 was the first candle that fully closed beneath the 8ma on the 55. At that point it was a 233 thought process. I never view my positions to see how much I am up or down. The 233 never gave me any indication that it wouldn't continue in the direction that the 55 led me too. I never look at a smaller chart than a 55 bc the gyration of smaller charts affect my decision. Trade recap: Entered AMZN puts on April 15th on the 5th 55 candle after it clearly crossed the 8 MA. Market calendar indicated it was time for a pull back as well as the DOW and NAS. Birthed the trade to the 233 and you will find a "fat pitch" on 4/17. Will probably go lower but today is an excellent day to take profits before some big tech names announce earnings this evening that cby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Made the same trade except I made it on the 55by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
See Market calendar beggining April 15th. All yesterday was a bounce of BBB from the 55 chart to resistance and the move continues today. If you assess the big charts and understand the market calendar and adage of "sell in May and go away" then it seems that we are right on Q to sell off. It is difficult to trade the summer right after you leave the fall/winter, you'll get it.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Analyze the second candle on the 55. BBB bounce back to 8 MA.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I don't know what data everyone is looking for but I have an app from the Apple App Store called stock earnings that will keep track of all earnings dates for you. I get splits from yahoo finance. I paid $5 for the earnings app and Y finance is free. Hope this helps someoneby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I entered CF as well this AM but with a different thought process. Rookie, glad your trade worked out as well. I actually had an entry I was more comfortable with on the 55 lunchtime candle yesterday when a candle closed beneath the 8 MA and the 50 MA. I missed it but entered the trade on the open this AM. I prefer to birth a trade to a big chart and I am still in this trade due to Daily and 233by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Entered Goog yesterday on the open and took profits today. There is a lot of trades in the market as earnings season heats up.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Inc. and Grow Rich is a good bood to reference. Im not a CPA by any stretch of the imagination but I have consulted many and "trading the stock market" is not a recognized business by the IRS and is a hobby. You are taxed as earned income and there really isnt a lot of deductions available other than your charting software and hardware you use it on. There isn't a lot of shelter from taby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Czechtrader: Thanks. As long as you are not personally advising someone else to enter trades then I don't think there is a violation of waivers signed. I see it no differently than talking about your retirement portfolio with co workers at the watercooler so to speak. I really appreciate Darcy's point of view as well and its great to view others live trades as an educational tool, not as a wayby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Exit WYNN today into strength. Also, there are several puts setting up on volatile stocks which to me usually means we will have a slight pull back on the 55by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Darcy, Is this something you considered a "sniper trade" due to a rising market?by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I am a Gary Williams student and I dont know how much info I can divulge. I can say that if you add the 8 MA that a hard candle close happened on the open which is an indicator that the move is solid. Also, analyze the 233 and find indicator verified support on the 200 MA.Hope this helps.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Perfect Trade today on WYNN. Entry on the 55 on the open that will be "birthed" to the Daily/233.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Darcy, Will you elaborate more regarding your ADX settings. Thanksby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion

Is this 8 MA the 8 minute Moving average? I dont have that on my workspace. I dont analyze moving averages at all so I am a little lost when it comes to that conversation. It is far less stressful to trade daily or 233 in conjunction with what the weekly is doing. You should practice it.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Rookie, Do you only focus on a few stocks or do you have a basket of stocks that you analyze?by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Darcy, What is your trend and decision when trading this way?by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I would trade whatever meets your schedule and your comfort criteria. Personally, I only trade big chart trades on stocks that move. I have read a few post and seems most are trading a couple stocks on short charts which is great if it works however the stock really doesnt matter as much to me as the charting criteria does. I rarely trade on anything less than a 233 however I prefer weekly/dailyby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
