IMO, if there is a pull back it wont be significant. More profit taking than bearish. THis market is artificially stimulated by the FED. THat wont change anytme soon so the rally wont end soon. IF you analyze the DOW on the monthly you will see the TBBB expanding and no indication of down.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I learned a very valuable lesson in regards to this: Trade with the DOW and NAS. Neither have commited to the downside on the weekly/daily time frames. Market Maker has not choice but to pay you if you trade with the general direction.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
to see a current move like I mentioned on MA please see NFLX yesterday about lunch time. I am by no means recommending for you to trade this.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I apologize but I dont fully understand your question however to reiterate what Im saying in that when you indicated you got into a 55 trade with a 233 trend and I am saying the 233 was not trending down when you entered. I think a lot of students look for trades first on smaller charts and then look for a trend. The trade chart compels them so much that the trend chart is not valued as much.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I typically buy 5 to 6 months time in the fall winter and 3 months time any other time. I only look at the indicators once Im in a trade so I wouldnt know if the market maker was messing with me or not. And....Buying time was never intended to be a more "safe" play in my opninion. WHen I first started I lost plenty of money and I bought time so obviously that doesnt eliminate losses. Whby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
The 55 will fake you out all the time. The 233 "trend" was still up on the 16th on the entry. If you ever want to verify your trend, you go up one time frame to find siginificant evidence. The daily was sitting on support of the green CC line and was not on the TBBB. I also have the 8 period moving average as a "trend line" and unless a candle body closes beneath that then I dby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I look at the 144 E chart to find the trade then analyze the daily to confirm.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
meant to include this in previous post.. Example is MA on 4/24. 144 E trade occured around lunch that day and stock price was 533. MA is currently at 589 and from a combination of the 144 E chart and weekly daily, I havent found any exit criteria yet either.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
FIrst of all, I just want to say "thanks" to all especially Darcy, who have submitted thoughts and findings regarding the E Chart trade. As my screen name indicates, I am a big chart trader. When I first read thoughts around the E trade I dismissed it due to the fact that it was being used with minute charts that I do not review in making trades. My trades tend to last weeks instead of mby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I only trade what it is currently doing and not what I think might happen. I entered on May 8th when the stock was 208 and the old rule is Gap up to Go up. Weekly is not at TBBB and monthly indicators are wide open. NFLX may go down and I hope it does, just means I will trade that direction.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
The NFLX move today is the result of big charts. Analyze the weekly/daily. That is why I trade them bc at any point the stock can turn and go in the direction of the major move.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Entered ISRG this morning around 945 @ 8.8 (May 495). Current price 14.90. HIt TBB on 55 and looks like this trade is done. 233 verified this trade and Daily chart had a doji yesterday. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Rookie Great BIDU trade. I didnt make this trade because I dont typically trade BIDU often but I had a good friend who did. I would have entered this trade on the 2nd 55 candle on May 6th and I would still be in that trade. The reason I would have stayed is that I would expect BIDU to reach its 200 MA on the 233 and its 20 MA on the weekly. BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Im third party to this conversation and would normally send such advice in a private message however I think we should all remember that being positive toward people on this forum will keep those that are already here and hopefully help some folks out. Im sure the WIN strategy is great. I dont know that I can see the difference in paying $200 for Qcharts or $170 for that particular strategy but iby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I am by no means Gary Williams however I did want to write a blurb to any new student that has questioned the process or what charts/web sites you use to research and trade. This process is grueling and takes many YEARS to become an expert. There have been many peers that seem to always be switching brokers, chart providers, and trading techniques. THe truth is, it doesnt matter if you use Qchartby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Taking something overnight doesn't bother me. I would also expect a continuation on the 233 however it is the summertime trading zone and if I can get $2 in a day I take it. I typically dont ever look at my brokerage account intraday because I dont want to close trades based on gains however CMG dropped pretty quick once I entered and I had an idea of how much I was up. In any other trading zoneby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion

I dont know the spread. Im still an old fashioned GW student that just pays to play the game and if the spread is within 50 or 60 cent I pay. I entered at 9:50AM @ 12.50 and sold for 14.50 at noon. Bought the June 365 Put.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I was in CMG as wellby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
BTW..Im not recommending this trade. Im just stated that I traded CMI.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
CMI trade occured on the 55 yesterday on the open. By day end yesterday 233 was turning and there is a fat pitch on 233 now. Trade has been birthed to a daily, 233 trade now as the weekly daily have indicated that CMI will move higher.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Darcy, DO you make at least one trade, every day? BigChartby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Eternal Sunshine: Gary only recommends trading using big charts. He identifies small chart and day trading as a "job" but never condemns it as he actually drops down the chart scale in some particular areas of the calendar. In WSB he offers trading techniques that COULD be successful. All the info that Darcy has indentified are in books that Gary recommends. Me personally, I dont anaby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I dont mean to be cumbersome but are you saying you have a 10 and 21 minute to see the E trade with money flow. And then you identify a trade chart (GW) such as a 13 to enter?by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Darcy, WHich chart first alerts you to trade? When you are alerted, are you analyzing both GW 55, 21 and TAD 10 and 21? DO they all have to coincide with each other? BCTby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
I don't think anyone has disclosed any specific info regarding to Gary. Gary did not invent the stock market or indicators and I could give someone my exact workspace and I guarantee they wouldn't be successful in the market unless that person already knew the market. It takes a lot of work to be good at this. I am very careful not to use phraseology such as " I'm in this trade and you shoulby BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Just to clarify, when you say a 10 and 20 moving avg chart, are you referring to a 10 minute and a 20 minute chart?by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
Call entry on 2nd 55 candle on Friday 4/19. 233 was sideways showing signs that the 55 was correct in its move up. Best direction on the daily was up. Exit criteria came today when the 55 hit 200 MA. Also, noted that I do not go through earnings under any circumstance and NFLX releases after the close.by BigChartTrader - Trading Discussion
