Thanks for continuing to share with us Darcy. You've always spoken words of wisdom here and we all appreciate that. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion

GW's course doesn't do "INTRA-DAY" stuff any longer. No more keeping up with market news, although being aware of isn't a bad thing. No more 5 min plays, no more peaks & slams. No charts smaller than 233 min charts anymore. That's probably the biggest change to his course. All the courses are online now. As to whether you should take the new courses since you've been toby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hey Darcy, Not, not that I've ever seen. When he was doing "coaching clients" they meet him for some one on one time and he'd go over their trades and discuss different aspects of it. BigChartTrader would probably answer that better than I. I think he did some sessions with GW. I'm not sure if GW even does that any longer. Yes actually I was having success with 1-5, I practiceby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Can we get an admin on here to remove this system stealing moron? He comes to sell us on "his system" that he STOLE from Gary and doesn't even hide the fact that he's doing so. And comes with the insults and backhanded compliments while trying to sell us on a system we all ALREADY HAVE. Please I ask, where are the admins to remove this clown!by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
If you were winning in the market ya wouldn't be trying to sell a book that repackaged GW stuff from his old classes. OMG, someone get this guy off of here.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yeah that's BS!!! I've never given up. For years I blindly followed his teaching only learning and doing what HE said I should do and avoid the things to NOT do. And for what??? I've been at this since 2006 back when he has WSB 1-5. I took RTP and all the other classes. Those that do his one on one stuff or coaching clients or whatever it's called seem to get nuggets the rest of us don't.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
An old saying go like this. "Practice makes perfect". Well that's not true at all. Only "Perfect" practice makes perfect. If you are "practicing" wrong one will NEVER make perfect. It is the same with this. More chart study JUST for the sake of chart study won't help either!!! "GRINDING" isn't worth a damn if you don't know what you're "grindiby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yes it is. I don't think GW has any intentions of going back to live classes. But I could be wrong as I don't know him personally. Here is a link to his website.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
GW doesn't teach that anymore. It's not really part of his current course, but I'm sure there are folks here that still do it.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
And again, right here. Just a quick note. For you guys looking for help with your scripts. You'd probably be better served to surf over to usethinkscript.com. There are only a few folks here lurking the board that dabble in script writing. Most of the real thinkscript folks are over at usethinkscript.com. Wow! Thanks for sharing Darcy. Very insightful, and definitely food for thought. I used to listen the GW on the 1-5 cds so much I could practically recite the entire thing word for word. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hmm..... I didn't know TQQQ was leveraged. That certainly explains the behavior I often see on the charts. I'll just quietly remove that one from the basket. lol. Now that's one of the things I love about life. Ya get to learn something new everyday. Also life is a tough teacher. First you get the test, then you get the lesson.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Usually I trade the TQQQ and IWM indexes. Also a small handful of stocks like zm, ddog, roku, spot, fivn, w, amat, amd, dash, net. I probably trade the TQQQ more than most. The options are cheap compared to others like tsla.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yeah, I can sometimes watch during the day, but it's not consistent. Usually I get busy with work and while I'm sucked into that things can swing against me. I use the 233 and daily/weekly charts. I'd prefer to stay in a trade for at least a few days if possible. Still my hardest struggle is knowing when to exit because I keep hearing GW in my head saying, "you stay until the trade is ovby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Well that.... and picking the right direction. That helps too.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
That's a good story Darcy, thanks for sharing. On the first date with my wife, we got into town a little early for the movie we wanted to see. So to kill some time we went to a public park. While playing and climbing on all the monkey bars and slides and things, I jumped down and suddenly the back of my pants busted wide open and ripped the seat completely out of my pants. Not wanting tby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hahaha..... My wife gets pretty frustrated with bowling. She'll bowl 3 or 4 strikes in a row, then all of a sudden she'll throw 5 gutter balls in a row. It happens to me also from time to time. If my trading were as consistent as my bowling I'd be doing alright. lol.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hey Dan, I just tried to show an image and it didn't work for me either. It just leaves a blank space when I try. Oh well, at least you could add the link. Great trade once again Darcy. You have definitely found your lane. I've actually witnessed someone release a bowling ball backwards into the crowd. We all scattered like roaches when you turn on the light.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Oh no!!! Sorry you're hurt. Maybe switch to a lighter ball when bowling next time. Hope you're feeling better soon. Yeah, I think we're in for some chop at this point. I just found it amusing that there was only 1 day of up movement and they were calling it a "Rally". Then they kept saying that stuff all day.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Guess they have a crystal ball after all. Hehehe..... Then again, it could be some of that good insider info. lol.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Up until about 1pm it seemed that CNBC kept on saying stuff like, "the dow is adding to the gains of the early 2023 rally that is taking place". I even saw someone comment that a rally may be in full swing. lol. Hahahaha...... Then it seems that the rest of the day was spent making them eat crow. I mean honestly there was a single white candle from Friday and they're calling thby RichieRick - Trading Discussion

Hi everyone, I've often thought about this, but never thought to ask. As you're all aware there are lots of economic reports that come out each month. Some don't even get a glance from the Markets while a few seem to get all the attention, and the slightest change can send the markets into a sell off or a nice spike. An obvious one, and recent example is the (CPI) Consumer price index,by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Would you consider Technical Analysis for Dummies to be the best book covering moving averages? How does it compare to a technical analysis book that GW did recommend? Martin Pring's Introduction to Technical Analysis.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yeah I see my charts on a 27 inch monitor in a dark room, so I can see the lines without any problem. If I turn on the overhead lights though it does become a bit hard to see. lol. Yeah Market Makers Edge was a good book. I haven't read the tech analysis for dummies yet though. I'm not sure if that one is even on GWs list. I've read all of the "required" books on GW's list and mby RichieRick - Trading Discussion

Wow!!! Thanks Darcy for posting. There's a lot to unpack here. Thanks for sharing with us. Yes I have the BB. Is the same color as the 20MA on the image I posted. It also has Christmas Cross on the image.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
