Yeah Robert has a good autowave for TOS. Check out his website. Yeah I don't mind paying a monthly price for a product like Alchem IF I'm making money. If I'm not making money or not trading, then I don't like that. Also fingers crossed and hoping Schwab doesn't mess with TOS. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I was doing really great and making some nice real money trades for a long while. I had a few trades that were 10k profit trades. I thought I was finally on my way to slowly achieving choice. Then I had a couple trades that were nice winners only to watch them turn into losers before I could exit. After that I got a little timid, and stopped trading for a long while. I stopped trading and foby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yes for sure. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. It was entertaining to watch it unfold though.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
This is one of those things that make you go... Hmmmmm...... I wonder what Gary had to say about it. Personally I think he enjoyed it really because it seemed to have such a negative effect on Market Makers and especially Hedge Fund managers giving them a taste of their own medicine. I'm still listening to reports and piecing together exactly what happened. I even saw a video clip of a Biby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
YEAH!!!! Someone responded. There is life out there. Hehehe. lol. Very interesting concept about the option spreads. I see things like that on TOS, but I never mess with them. I'll look into it. Your last comment about "stocks that move". Yes that's true. I didn't mean to imply that, but I guess it's a good point to mention. I'd like to attempt to clarify a bit if possiby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Well, it's nice to see that some folks are at least stopping by the read a post or two.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hello everyone, I hope this new year is finding everyone well so far. The best moving stocks that move well tend to be very pricey, thus making the options very pricey also. And there's the catch. I remember time and again Gary shouting about trading stocks that MOVE and each year he wants us to review the list of stocks that move to ensure we don't have any dead weight stocks that usedby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
You can send an email to this email address. wsbrandic@gmail.com Ask about the classes. He doesn't do 1-5 classes any longer, now it is Survivor Weekend 1, 2, and 3. Once you take those 3 you can then take RTP is you so wish. Brandi will let you know the prices and structures. Good luck!by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Online should be pretty good. At least I hope so anyways. Maybe then he can get to the point, and stay on topic. I'm certain he could cover all 3 survivor weekend courses in one full weekend, if he'd just stay on topic and stop wandering off talking about things unrelated or getting on his soapbox and fussing at the crowd about how dumb we all are for making bad choices throughout our lives.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion

That's easy to answer. First, he's not a computer guy. He is 100% behind everyone switching over to Alchem charts. Alchem charts is built on a platform called Quant Share. Quant Share is the base program from which Alchem charts are built on. If you had an account and the knowledge you could duplicate Alchem charts on Quant Share exactly, but you better know what you're doing there,by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yes TOS works perfectly. I'm using TOS, but I have access to Alchem I use it to ensure that what I have in TOS matches Alchem. The assumption is Alchem is setup to match Qcharts, and I believe it is. Right now Gary still uses Qcharts but has stated numerous times that when Qcharts finally gets shut down he will switch to Alchem. I've never heard him mention TOS or Tradestation. I'm guessingby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Are we sure on using Wilders for the RSI???? I had been using simple for a long spell now. I just went and checked. When I compare TOS with Alchem charts, the only way it will match is if I use Simple for the RSI. Using Wilders causes the two charting packages to not match up anymore. Also I want to note that Alchem charts is THE recommended charting app that Gary recommends everyoneby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Okay, I thought so. Just wanted to clarify for anyone that may read your earlier post. Makes perfect sense to me.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hey Darcy, Are you referring to the volume on the stock or the volume on the Option you wanted to select? I'm assuming you are referring to the volume on the stock itself.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Thanks Darcy for giving of a peak of how you've been doing. Civil Air Patrol for the win. I'm a pilot and I love flying. Sounds like everyone is adjusting well to the new normal. Pleasure to have you back with us. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Those NDA's have expired years and years ago. If you still have your 1-5 material (and you should) the settings are in there. Using the info on this forum you can find where/how to apply those settings in Think or Swim and Trade Station. Yes everyone is very very busy, but everyone also remembers that they first came here looking for help. Back then this was/is the only place current/formerby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
It's probably something simple that was changed. Maybe a command was renamed or something causing the code to fail. Might have a look at their change log and you may spot it. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I didn't realize the I didn't update the Subject line. It was still stuck on "Overlay two stocks" Sorry for that. I have a TOS study that will draw a vertical line on the chart using any time frame I want. It draws this line when I have 3 of 4 indicators crossing or 4 of 4 indicators crossing on that time frame. I'd like the same thing in my watchlist column, but it only allowsby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yeah I called about it before also. No luck either. Well a study can do it based on the Chart time frame selected. I think (not 100% sure) you can also define the aggregation period in a study. Seems like it has to be in milliseconds if I remember. I was hoping that you could just setup a watchlist column to call a specific user defined study, and then use Add Label to have it pop the nuby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Maybe this was already covered somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it. How could I get the result of an indicator to show in a watchlist? For example, if I had an SLI indicator to fire on the chart when I have 3 of 4 up with a light green bar, and 4 of 4 up with a dark green bar. How could I get add that to the watchlist to give me a light green 3 for 3 of 4 up, and a dark green 4 for a 4by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
If you are making these news trades from a separate account. Say one that is setup for speculation or news reaction trades I think Gary would be okay with that. If you were doing it in your primary trading account, then yes that would be breaking some rules. Different accounts can have different rules that are specific to the purpose of that account.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Oh man.... So sorry to hear of this news. On Sept 30th he passed all the tests and got to see all the answers to life's questions. I hope you take comfort in knowing he isn't in pain any longer. He has a new heart and a new body with a renewed mind. He's all fit as a fiddle. He as gone ahead to wait for you, but his message is, "don't be in a hurry to get here, just take your time..by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Join the party. I've had lots of entries that were great, but I stayed to long, and what was a nice profit turned into a small loss. I didn't feel I had enough signals to leave so I stayed, just cause I had continuation also. I've just about given up on "continuation" completely. Gary was right, it doesn't mean you'll profit will increase.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Nope!!! As far as I know he's never shared anything like that, and probably never will. Then again, if it were me I probably wouldn't either. He will however, be happy to show you around his really large estate and amazing house. I suppose one could argue that his home is proof enough of his trading and investment skills. On that note though, one could also argue that his students paidby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
It's probably the smiley faces in the code. For some reason the forum converts certain things to "" Fix those in the script and it will probably work.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
There have been many times in the past when I have compared the data between Alchemcharts, and TOS. TOS has come up the winner every time. I think Alchemcharts using the same data provider as Qcharts is. Before I let go of QCharts I found MANY of the same errors.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
You can now have custom time frames so you are not locked into the 4 hour chart. There was a time when you were stuck with the 4 hour chart instead of the 233 min chart.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yeah I know about those already. I was just hoping to find a way to "trick" ToS into giving me what I needed. I was hoping that I could build a study and then I could have watchlist column call on the study to give me what I needed, but probably not gonna happen.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
