NICE!!!! Now that sounds like a lovely trade. Way to go!by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yes I agree, and I hope no one thinks I'm hating on GW in any way. I'm not and I appreciate the hell out of him. Without GW I wouldn't be a trader, and would be very lost when it comes to the markets. Like has been said already. I have to find out what works for me, and the way I'm doing it now works so much better than trying to bake his cake. I don't worry about losses anymore, to me iby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hahaha.... Now that sounds just like something he'd say. Now that you mention it, it seems that I've heard him say something like that many years ago. Back in the WSB 1-5 days. It's a natural assumption to think that those were "God's numbers". That comes from the fact that Fibonacci sequences keep repeating often in nature. There is a lot of truth to it occurring so oftenby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hi everyone, Something that's been on my mind the last several days. This has rattled around in my brain for years, but I always put it to bed and say, "GW knows what he's doing so don't question it". Well GW isn't Jesus or God so now I'm going to question everything. I'm also not trying to "bake GW's cake" using his recipe any longer so that's out. Why did GW pick Fiby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Awesome!!!! It always makes me smile when someone puts on a profitable trade. I noticed that many stocks did the same thing this morning. I was noticing that some of the stocks I watch in the first hour where having large direction changes and lots of gaps in both direction. It was kinda wild. Like a good boy I sat on my hands until things got sorted out. What made it strange was theby RichieRick - Trading Discussion

Yeah I never thought about using the MARK as a stop either, but apparently the guy at ToS says the system could do it if you leave it on STD. To me that just leaves things a bit to much up in the air. A couple times he even mentioned that I could use the "Ask" price. I thought that was really odd and just assumed he meant Bid. lol I have since changed my OCO template to use a cusby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I'm guessing you're all thinking I'm bat-shit crazy aren't you? lol Is okay. I think that too. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hi Everyone, So traditionally with trading you buy at the Ask and sell at the Bid right? So on ToS there is this thing they have called the "MARK" price. That is the mid point between the Bid/Ask spread. On ToS you can make trades buying and selling at the MARK price. Now when you buy and you want instant fills it's usually best to you the Ask price, and when selling it's usuallyby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Thanks for posting Darcy. The problem with reviewing the notes while GW rambles on about something not related to the topic is he'll start adding topic related things in and I would sometimes miss them. Long ago he used to sell a CD set of 1-5 classes. I picked up a set from him during the short time they were available. I quickly noticed this after listening to him over and over again. I figured it would resonate with some. I'm sure though that the ones that are making it work perfectly are probably thinking I'm being silly, and a bit of a crybaby. But honestly I'm not whining or complaining. I realize that I had to got there first before I could get here. It's all part of the journey I suppose. I two was only looking twice a day. But when you look and you suddenly haby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yeah the basics of 1-5 were pretty good. Especially the intraday stuff and how it can help new students get a lot of reps in a short time. GW has completely moved away from ANYTHING intraday. Which I think is a real shame. Sadly I think GW may have forgotten what it's like to be a new trader/investor and being forced to start with a very small account. His focus now seems to be on the bigby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hi everyone, I wanted to hop on and share something I learned today. If this has been covered here before then I admit to being a total DOPE since I never gave it another look.... until today. And boy am I glad I did. So GW always says we should only use "Mental" stops, but there are times when I can't check on my trades and using a stop gives me a better feeling when I know I'mby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Thanks for sharing with us Darcy. That's not chump change to anyone that I know, and 32k a year is damn fine work. Most of us here can't claim 32k a year. You certainly have "Your trade" figured out and that's key. Great job! Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Now that leaves me scratching my head that you can't recall it. In Sv1-3 he mentions it a lot. GW doesn't call it HRFP or FP any longer. He hasn't for many years now. It's now only referred to as SLI. Either 3 or 4 or 4 of 4.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hello, That information is covered in the WSB 1-5 course, and also in Survivor Weekend 1,2, &3 courses.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
For those of you coming here looking for Thinkscript help, you'd be much better served to head over to as it's MUCH more likely that you'll find an answer to your questions. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
OMG!!!! You did NOT just do that!!!??? On this forum of ALL places!!!!. You got the nerve to post Gary's shit on here complete with the same names that he uses. There just so happen to be many current and former GW students. OMG!!! You pop onto this forum 4 years ago asking to see peoples notes from Gary's classes, and now you pop up with this crap!!! If anyone shared them with you theby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Can't say I disagree with that. It does seem that the board has gotten very quiet. If not for people joining just to ask for script help the traffic here would be even less. I guess this bunch is like the Clint Eastwood type. Doesn't have much to say, but people get shot all over the place. I miss those old Spaghetti Westerns. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
So you're looking at laptops or a desktop PC? If going with a Laptop make sure that the screen will do 1920x1080 as a minimum. So may laptops out there right now, with crappy 1366x768 screens. You want your screens to have as high of a native resolution as you can get, and 1080 is the min. Gaming laptop are almost always a better way to go, but they are much more pricey so be prepared.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion

Hi everyone, Just a quick note to say that the Nasdaq Composite on ToS is changing this morning to COMP:GIDS. I heard that from Tech Support because I wasn't seeing the charts this morning for COMP. Some IPO company has chosen that COMP as their symbol so ToS is changing to COMP:GIDS.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Paper trading is a great way to knock the rust off and get the juices flowing again. Then you can tip toe back into live trading. Personally I think Intra-day trades are good for new traders, it allows you to get MANY more reps in if you're able to see the charts during the day. If I recall correctly, when GW first quit his job and was able to trade fulltime he did a LOT of day trading typby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Could someone help me break this down? def Week2 = Round (AbsValue (high[44] - low[44])); def Week1 = Round (AbsValue (high[43] - low[43])); What do the number (43, and 44) represent? Is this a particular week of the year it's referring to or something like that?by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Good deal, Glad you figured it out. It just depends on the data source that the platform is using. That list is crazy for sure, but you'll need to cull it down a bit as he intended. It's hard to find stocks that move very well and at the same time has options that are cheap enough that you could buy at least 2 or 3 contracts with a small account while following the Money Managementby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hey Dan, I didn't think I was baiting any hooks, but okay. lol. I don't know who has the data feed for ToS either. It's been a little more than a year now, since I compared ToS and Alchem data so maybe the issue was only short term and has gone the way of the doodoo bird. At least I hope so.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
There have been 22 views of this post before I entered it, and no one has said anything.... REALLY!!!! Hopefully someone has PM the OP. Okay. First things first. The Nasdaq Composite on ToS is COMP, not NDX. Yes they similar on the charts but the right one for ToS is COMP without the $ sign. TOS has the OnDemand feature which also lets you go back in time and watch just like live trading also. You can watch is paint the candles second by second if you want to. It has quarterly and Autowave. You just have to build them yourself. Robert has an good autowave on his website as well. As for the 3 day chart. Gary's words are so true when he talks about how much Discipline matters. So as a word of caution for you since you're getting back into Gary's course. Temper your expectations.... a lot. Gary often has a lot of fun focusing on trades that were amazing and big profits. Those do happen from time to time, but most trades "Barely" work. Even Gary will say that, but sometimes he getsby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
