Nobody on the face of this earth ever gets the timing down of when to get out of a trade. If I have a decent profit I grab it because money is money and green is green. I've been in some trades where it keeps going up or down way past the time I get out. You need to base getting out on a percentage of $'s or set a profit standard and don't change it. Well? Did you do a call on 5/26/23 on ON? Keep an eye on this one if you can't trade NVDA. Dan Niles....thank you!by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
Today (5/25/23) I made a bundle trading NVIDA DOWN! Ah...NVIDA...loved this stock for a long time but it is almost pricing itself out of my trading range. So, looking around and listening to Charles Payne, who is getting ready to interview DAN NILES on other ideas and hearing the fellow Charles had on his show a few minutes ago the next mover (remember this is for buying stock so this fellow wasby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
GW has some great classes and I learned so much from his teaching. I also learned he learned from many other traders and compiled information for how he trades. One fellow I like offers some inside information that I like too. No, I have not signed up for any of his classes. He offers information for free on youtube and I use this and apply it to what I do. James Basej. I try to combine many traders information to find my fit. I listen to many. Peter Tuchman has been a trader on the NYSE for decades. Crammer is not someone I listen to because he invests in stocks. What surprises me is how so many traders I know jump on a trade when the market is playing with our heads down one day up the next without realizing when a stock crashes the stock theby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
March 1, 2023...QCOM in at 10:40 and out at 11:09 bought 5 March 125 PUT for $4 and put in GTC for $4.30. Left to get other things done and looked at it when I got back. Used 5 and 8 chart, 200 and 50 moving averages and volume Moving slow so I used the numbers where the moving averages were on the 5,8,21 and 55 to see about where this stock would settle. Looked like I could grab .50 but I set myby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
Yep, in at 12:52 out at 3:15...Why? Because the candle was going out of the Bollinger bands. That's how I trade and how I find what I will trade for the day.by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
I still use Qcharts and will continue to do so as long as they are there. However, I do not have all the bells and whistles that GW had us sign up for in 1-5. To find what I will look at for a trade the very first thing I look at is my QUOTE SHEET; NET and NET SINCE OPEN. I compare the net and net since open which automatically tells me which direction that stock is going. EXAMPLE @ 11:52by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion

As you know I am an Investopedia follower. I know nothing about the TQQQ so I looked it up on Investopedia. I knew that just because an option is cheaper doesn't make it the best bet. The loss is far greater because of the amount of options a person buys. I looked up the TQQQ and according to Investopedia, "TQQQ is built for short-holding periods and is best suited for day traders." ARKby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
Staying until the trade is over can mean it is over when you say it is over. Before entering a trade see if GW's green line is going in the same direction of how you plan to trade. If you are staying or planning to stay only a few days perhaps you should use a 55, 233, daily and maybe a weekly to see the full trend. If you are in for only a few days...well okay let me put it this way....iby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
What do you trade? Can you watch it during the day? This market...since it is consolidating "picking a direction" is a challenge. This is why I am looking for squeeze patterns. I posted on the squeeze topic this... META on 2/7/23 was showing a squeeze on the 55 and 34 so at 3:14 off an 8 chart I purchased 5 $190 calls and sold @ 3:56 for 7.10. This did a strong pull back and fell to 6.by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion

Oh, I have a good one about bowling. My first date with my husband...we went bowling. That date lasted about 2 frames because he had to take me home. Why? The zipper broke in my pants! Who prepares for that happening? I was so embarrassed!by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
Look at the 55 chart today (1/27/23) of TSLA. First it consolidated from 1/23 to 1/26 and BB's grew tight into a squeeze. Had you traded a call after the pull back into the BB's....big bucks! BTW worked on the 8 chart too.by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
I don't use TOS charts but this fellow gives tons of information on a squeeze. I use Bollinger Bands and listened to Markay Latimer.by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
LOL...my bowling skills rate me at about zero. Now if you want to grade gutter ball I would win hands down. Traded NVDA on the 19th of Jan. Although it was down I traded a call off the 9:35 candle. I wanted to get in and out quickly. I bought 7 calls for 2.86 and sold 3 minutes later for 3.45. It was a quick trade but the direction was down even though I traded up. The talking heads on this show and so many others guess about the market. I just listen to the guests and then only certain ones. I do watch Charles Payne on Fox Business. If you used a Daily chart to trade and IF you have a regression line provided by your chart draw a line from 4/4/22 to current candle. The down is 270 points. Draw another regression line from 9/20/22 to current candle these 2 regression lines come to a support hitting at 89.35. I am not saying TSLA will hit that low before it finds support, but it is curious. If you trade this wait for the signby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
Playing the gap for me depends. Gaps can depend on the news, where moving averages are, and volume of a particular stock. Out of the BB's doesn't always mean the stock will retrace. There are occasions when the candles pull back into the BB's and continues going up. That's when I look at the moving averages and oversold positions on the 21, 34 and 55 chart. When you see the band squeezing such as on RBLX starting on 10/14 to the close (on an 8 chart) you know you are at a time of low volatility. This is a signal to traders that this is future increased volatility and thus a trading signal. The more the BB separate the higher the probability in decreased volatility. John Bollinger suggests using the MACD and RSI. When I see a set up like RBLX on 10/1by Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
One signal I look for is the Bollinger band squeeze. Investopedia. com "The "squeeze" is the central concept of Bollinger BandsĀ®. When the bands come close together, constricting the moving average, it is called a squeeze. A squeeze signals a period of low volatility and is considered by traders to be a potential sign of future increased volatility and possible trading opportunitiby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
JamesBasej If I used daily chart to trade, I would have bought a PUT. Candle was fighting the 200 moving average and the projected direction of that average showed a high probability it would cross the 50 moving average which is a death cross. It completed that cross by 6/01/22. From the date when I did this trade until yesterday the move down would have been almost $100. Would I have sold yesterby Darcy3 - Trading Discussion
