Bugatti, I just found an "anomaly" in the PPO/RSI merger and feel I should share with you. Slowly scroll back thru time and the relationships between RSI and PPO change, so that a meetup signal is no longer a meetup signal. However, on the good side, that same scrolling causes other good meetup signals to appear. So no matter where you are in scrolling, a meetup is a good signal. Anywayby baffled1 - Trading Discussion

bughatti, I admire what you're trying to do. Without Experimenters like yourself, we'd never have had indicators, not one! You probably expected me to come along sooner or later . But I've been looking at your idea ever since because you emphasize simple and I like that. My thoughts (you likely already know this stuff): 1. Simple is best, but often difficult to achieve. 2. RichieRick, you asked "how to" and I didn't really answer that, though it's obvious from the code. 1. Identify the value that you want rounded. 2. At the start of it, type ROUND, then a PAREN. 3. At the end of it, COMMA, then the NUMBER of places to right of decimal you want it rounded to, then a PAREN, and then the semicolon.by baffled1 - Trading Discussion

I'm thinking something like the below for BUY/SELL ratio. Crosses of 5ma and zeroline=0 on /ES are quite helpful on both H1 and 10m but better triggers might be found. declare lower; def myvolume = volume; def negbar = close<open; def posbar = close>open; def buysellR = volume*hlc3; def mycalc = if negbar then buysellR*(-1) else if posbar then buysellR else double.nan; plot myplotby baffled1 - Trading Discussion
Tanman, thanks for explaining. Helps me better understand why that author was saying that. Good point you also made, in my opinion, "Knowing how to interpret market internals is the MOST IMPORTANT thing for any day trader and should be the FIRST thing they learn in the beginning." So, seems like for /EZ you could code a proxy for at least Buy/Sell ratio? Wouldn't be perfect but usable.by baffled1 - Trading Discussion
Linter and others, I developed this Golden Mean algo some time ago and still use it today. As you can see from the numbers, it isn't your grandma's Golden Mean of 1.6180. It's an adaptation from it. Won't waste your time explaining why I did this but it works. USING IT: 1. The paired lineplots are never all 4 in the Cloud at the same time. 2. linter, run it as a Scan, then refresh Scan and post to Watchlist?? Just guessing. Okay, heelllllllpppppp! Problem driving me crazy. I want the biggest value and smallest value in a series of values. Tanman, that long post of yours was really excellent. You should write a book! Bughatti, you still here or did you faint from all those experts' advice? Told ya, there are some smart people around here. Just adding one thing for stocks: You mentioned you read up on shorting.
