Yeah, CHK hit that downtrend line (starting in August) on the daily, and started falling again.by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
Excellent trades. CRUS really took off today.by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
Good day for CHK despite the flat/down market.by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
I have been watching CHK as well. I practiced an entry (daily chart) on Friday. My hesitation for entering with real money is the long steady decline on the daily chart since August. Due to that trend line resistance (from August till now) currently in the high $22s, CHK seems like a sniper play when trading on the Daily chart right now.by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
I agree the Daily hasn't been working very well lately...I have found myself not trading much because of that. Excellent trades going down with MA...the stock really got hammered a couple of days in early January.by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
RES has really taken a beating since January 11, so I'd be weary of a dead cat bounce. With the jobs number that was just released, it will be interesting to watch. Looks like you got a good entry on CLF. Jobs number will likely help that trade today!by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
Darcy - thanks for sharing! I typical only trade off the daily chart because I can't watch the market closely during the day. On the daily chart, CF has been on a 6-week upward rise! Your trade is the perfect sniper trade on the 55/8 minute charts. Looking at the trade was great for me, since I usually don't look at smaller-interval charts. I agree about the option spreads. Welcome mtut! Thanks for sharing. Knowing that AEM had very bullish upcoming Earnings trends, I watched for an entry (daily chart) for a couple of weeks ...finally got one on 1/25....and then exited on 1/27 when it smacked up against the Bollinger Band. It has since pulled back a couple of days...but could be setting up for some more UP for your practice play.by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
Congrats - those calls must be somewhere in the stratosphere about now!by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
I never stay in a trade through a company's earnigns release either. It's not for the feint of heart! I customized my RTT reports to not even show me the Seasonal Trends if they go thru a company's earnings release. I have 7-8 stocks that I watch the most. But since I started using RTT, I am open to any stock that has a great trend and the chart that supports the trade. I use the "Bby trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion

Welcome rookie30! Good post - totally agree. RTT is my starting point for potential trades, but I wouldn't trade using earnings or seasonal trends alone. I have to see technical evidence of the stock moving in the same direction of the trend and plenty of room to run. I have found using the RTT trends plus some simple techincal analysis produces a high percentage of profitable trades! Theby trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion

RRC has a great 4-week seasonal trend going right now (http://www.researchtrade.com/?p=FourWeekTrendRRC). Last week, RRC kept falling, before making a turn up on Nov 28. Using the daily chart, the technicals looked great, so I decided to buy calls before the close on Nov 29. I figured i would be in the trade at least a week...but this morning (Nov 30), the market and RRC rallied big. RRCby trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
I love the new FLEX rendering of the Earnings and Seasonal Trends. Being able to see the trends on the charts from past years is very helpful to see how the plays setup...and helping find the optimal entry in a trade.by trendtrader1 - Trading Discussion
