I am having major issues with Strategy Desk! I am NOT trading-therefore, losing money-EVERY DARN DAY! I promised my wife I would not curse and I just popped the pill, so I am not going to use twisted words-sorry about that last time. Anyway, I hotspopt my laptop everyday at my office (9-5 job). 100% of trades are contingent upon having this hotspot access. Up until this week, things haveby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Sonicwave, Willnotquit is so correct, and I agree with those statements 100%. If you have taken Gary's basic course, you have what you need. You just have to work, work, work. I am not sure if I am a Gary's Groupie-lol. I have a level of respect for what his program taught me far and beyond what any college professor or instructor has ever taught. This has changed my life-FOREVER! If thaby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I have been practicing TSLA. That movement on this stock is violent, but if I can catch it on the right side, I am smiling all the way to the bank. I have not missed it once in practice. I am almost ready to start with real money. One good trade on TSLA a week, and I can go fishing.by rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I never attended any of Gary's Classes. My mentor bought the entire CD collection for me a few years ago. He was able to purchase the CD's they were not being sold to the public anymore. He was one of Gary original students who has taken success in trading to a multi million dollar status. I worked to learn the material. I asked questions. Rocawill, You will be massively successful with this trading thing, if you are truly going to allow yourself an extended amount of time to learn the art of trading. Most people can not do that. You are young and could be working from home before you are 25. You young people usually do not have a lot of bills yet, so you can retire and live off a lot less than some of us old folks. Darcy, I think I got you. When I first started, I saw a trade that was blasting down. I jumped in my account and bought the position. Guess what? I did not click the drop down, selecting a "PUT". The call option was auto coded. I was nervous and did not think. I still feel like a bonehead. Needless to say I lost money. Luckily, as soon as I hit the confirm button, I thought aboutby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I hope trading is going well for everyone. I had been torn between whether or not I would continue trading off small charts or advance to big charts. There are so many inspiring traders who do not know which style of trading fits their personality. I was caught in that turmoil. I had to walk away from the forum and find what works best for me. I was simply overloading myself with informationby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
tppplayer32, Sorry guys, I am just getting back on the forum after working through the weekend. Thanks for pointing that mistake out, and I apologize. You are correct. The previous day's high had not been broken as I stated, and as I looked back at the trade and my notes, I discounted the break of the previous day's high because before the close on the 7th, I had a break on my trendlineby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
If you want to take a peek at a stock that simply lives up to it's historical performances, try CF. A person can not have much trading knowledge at all and take a look at RTT's historical performance reports on this company and nearly throw a dart at it!!!! I would not suggest that, but wow, this stock has lived up to it's expectations since I have been trading. I have gotten to a point that Iby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
JLT248.... If a person has drive, no quit attitude, and can work from a foundation, they WILL BE successful at this. If a person thinks it will be easy and looking for a fly by night-get rich quick scheme, they are in for a big suprise. My boss came by my office and did not leave until my "Sweet Spot" window had passed. After going back and looking at the movements, I most likely would have taken a chance at popping a small trade on AMZN again today. We will see what tomorrow holds. These are the days that take discipline and patient. Happy Trading.....by rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Great trade! The friend I am mentoring did a practice trade on VZ and was really excited about the results. When he pointed out VZ, I hit the roof. I am like, "How did I miss that one". Again, good trade! I traded calls on AMZN. I went in on my 9:56 candle off my 13 and exited at 10:50 after the doji formed on the previous candle. I made $3 the stock price. I traded puts on V this morning. Went shortly after the open and just sold ( 40 minute trade). I made nearly $2 and close to 30%. I am happy with that. I was very close to buying NFLX again because I felt that stock again, but I felt I could snipe V going with the market opposed to NFLX going against the market. I have a made a slight change since coming back to small charts. I have 6 chaby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Good morning family, I bought Calls on NFLX this morning. I bought shortly after the open . I noticed it was charging pretty hard, so I dove in off some critical indicators that confirmed a good trade. After seeing the DOW and NAS dropping in the opposite direction of my trade, I knew my trade would not be long lived. I started to focus on my 13 chart and waited for a reason to leave the trby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Thanks traderva. I am not promoting the basket of stocks I am about to list. I have a reason for giving you this list. AMZN, NFLX, AAPL, GOOG, DECK, LNKD, V, FB, MA, VZ Now, if you get some time, take a look at these stocks and identify what happens with at least one EVERY SINGLE DAY! To make it really simple, take a look at the time frame from 10:00-12:00- ONLY! I really do not want toby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Hello, First of all, I have been battling the worse form of Vertigo. I had to be transported to the hospital by EMS a bit over a week ago. I am finally able to get around without assistance, and I am gaining my balance back. Trading stuff.... Although my worlby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Thanks Raleigh Trader for posting some of your trades as well. You big chart traders have gotten my motivation up. Well, with my issues, there are not many things to do not get my juices flowing. I was dreaming that this fire would get in my belly that would drive me to really learn how this works from a big chart perspective. The biggest deficiency that really hurts me is, I have a very limiby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Wow! Absolutely amazing to me..... You are the first person I am familiar with who does not study the news. You truly motivate so many of us to work hard, so we can reach a LIMITED LEVEL OF STRESSFUL TRADING. I am sure you have put in the time, and hardwork to get to this level. Most likely you have lost some funds along the ride. Thanks again for your contribution to this forum.by rookie30 - Trading Discussion

The entire candle should be outside the BB. I really want my candle on the Daily to be outside as well, but I found that if that 233 is out and it has a lot of fuel in it, that is my big indicator. Now, I wait for the other criteria. Again, you are only looking at those stocks that move well and have good average volume.by rookie30 - Trading Discussion
BCT- Your post is awesome. I feel strongly that you are very similar to my mentor in so many ways. Both of you trade from Big Charts, and both of you have a clear understanding of how to make money on a few stocks. I am still learning about entry and exit from a big chart perspective. I will go and take a look at your trades and try to identify what you saw when entered and exited. Thby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Based on your example, you are looking for the stock to rise to at least $110 the following day (after earning report). If the stock report earnings today-after market close, you want to see that stock rise to at least $110 tomorrow. Another key is, I want to see my candle completely outside of my BB on the 233. That percentage is very important, but those who are fairly smart know, you will noby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I am tearing up this TSLA! I have made multiple trades yesterday and today on this stock. These trades have been all art. I rode it down yesterday for about $4. I rode it up this morning for almost $4. I clearly saw it coming back down, Fear is far more prevalant in this market than greed. People are fearful that they will lose their profits (in this stock), so they are not hesitant to sell.by rookie30 - Trading Discussion
My mentor bought Puts on TSLA on 11/06, bought more on 11/07 and more on 11/14. He bought a butt load of puts and is still in all positions. He told me this morning that this stock was by far way over priced, so he knew it would drop like a rock. He said this trade is one that is hard for him to not get excited about because he has broken a 3 /12 year old personal best. He said he will not getby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Thanks for the tip! I have also found some very significant things that I am studying regarding the MACD. It is by far the most powerful indicator I have identified. It is an underated indicator. It is an indicator that is notorious for, if xxxx happens above or below the MACD middle line, and you get a cross, xxxx will happen. Just know, if you study this indicator enough, you will see somby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
TCB- I bought TSLA, but I bought it around lunch. It was simply an art trade for me. This stock was constantly going down, so I watched and watched, and watched. I thought it would be well worth the risk based on the rate it was dropping, so I have been in for about a $4 ride, I am still in for the ride. I will DEFINATELY get out before the day is over. Thanks guys for the pat on the back. A couple of questions..... Is there a such thing as the 55 chart running it's course when in a trade off 55 as decision and the 233 as the trend? I am finding that many times the 55 hits the top BB, and goes side ways, but the 233 is still running. Now I either berth to the 233 as my decision and Daily as my trend, or exit the trade because the 55 hasby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
This is pretty simple for me. I will NEVER turn my candles off! I have enough issues trying to figure out how to make money consistently. I would be a "Crackbrained Fool" to take away from what helps me make money. If some want to turn candles off just to see what it is like, hey no harm no foul. I just sold my position in FB. I just do not like the way it is moving. I will take my profits that I held over from yesterday and the few cents from this morning. I will watch how stocks are moving on Option Friday. Again, I am retraining my brain. Bought Deck on 11//12 at about 72 and sold on 11/13 for 76. Bought FB on 11/13 for around 47.30 and sold on the 11/13 for about 48.71. I was afraid to take those profits overnight. Moved profits and re-entered FB yesterday-the 14th. I have a little "fat" under me, so I will sit for a minute and see if FB goes on another tear.
