I new someone else was on that trade. You two smash trades! Your process for identifying trades is second to none. I am still working on that part. I tend to miss a lot of trades because I want to analyze too much. Like LNKD is a distant stock in my basket, but I watch it as well. Anyway, I am tightening down my processes. GOOD TRADE!by rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Look at lnkd ON 11/17 at about 10:25. That is about the most perfect Put setup I have seen. There is a HRFP on the Daily, 233, and 55. I did not trade real money, but I popped a practice trade. Those setups do not come often, but I was not confident enough to drop real money. Oh well, I will see how the practice trade goes and keep a close eye on this stock.by rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Hey Stacees, Excellent question! I stayed in for two reasons. First of all, I had a nice chunk underneath me, so I wanted to ride it out until it totally exhausted itself. I was a bit concerned from Nov. 5-10, but I never got the cross on the Daily (GW cross on the chart). I had a cross on the MACD and the MACD D line was starting to point down, but I held this bull by the horns and wanted tby rookie30 - Trading Discussion

I have been away from the forum for a while. I have been working my tail off, learning how to trade big charts. I am finally to a point where I feel I can talk about a few things from my experiences. Hopefully, someone will find value in my approach. First of all, I am not great at this, but I have had successful trades. NC Trader, I like how you broke AAPL. You are so much more technical than I have the ability, but I want to get some of your knowledge. I will dissect what you wrote back a week or so ago. Your illustrations and ability to maneuver around TOS is impressive. Funkho, I appreciate what you are trying to do and analyze. I have looked at Seasonal Trends, 1,2,4 week trends and wondered if I coby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Thanks! We enjoyed our dinner. The wife wanted a good steak from Ruth Chris, but I did not expect the kids to order a big damn steaks as well. My reasons for taking such a big position in APPL was the same as NC Trader. I have studied AAPL for a few years, so I know how it responds to beating earning in the F/W zone. Darcy, it just does not seem fair to give back so much of our earniby rookie30 - Trading Discussion

I am sorry, but I am definitely not bragging- just elated that I just made my best big chart trade. This trade was more art than technical, but it worked well. Although I bought Apple January Calls, I just reached 100% gains, so I am out! I simply can not control my emotions on this one. I have made more in this trade than I net in 2 months on my 9-5. I have successfully Swing Traded a couple times over the past couple of weeks. I studied tirelessly for several weeks before placing real money trades. First of all, I am not confident enough to "flap my jaws" too much about Swing Trading. 90% of my account was built based on intraday trading. Hello, I am finally back at work after being out for 3 months. Yesterday was my first day back. Get this, I am convinced that I trade better at work than I do at home. This is about the craziest thing I have discovered. I have had all that time at home and have been a victim of "over thinking". This is a serious problem! My trading mindset has come back very clearly, and I am backby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I had both knees replaced on July 15th. I have had some of the toughest challenges in my life. Most of you know I am ADD. Imagine confining me to a bed for 3 weeks (literally). I was not able to turn in bed, lift my legs, or maneuver/adjust my body. The pain was unbearable. As a result of all of these changes, my blood pressure was uncontrollable. Days similar to today can present major issues with my intraday approach. I was not in the office for the open, but after glancing back at the stocks I trade and my secondary basket, I am not sure I would have been able to pop a trade this morning. I am fearful of stocks that demonstrate overbought or oversold situations as early as 9:50 off the 21 chart. I can expect those conditions on my acby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I entered at about 9:58 and exited at about 10:35- when the MF started to turn on me. I felt confident that the burst of momentum was slowing when the MF changed directions. I did not want to give any of it back, so I exited. A month ago, I might have entered closer to 9:50, but this market has me a bit skittish. I cannot think of a time I have sniped outside of the window (9:45-11:20). Iby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I bought BIDU this morning off Big Charts (Practice), but I could not help from sniping it as well (real money). I sniped BIDU this morning and bought 7 July WK1 Call contracts. All indicators were screaming trade. MF, E, broke PDH, DOW came from the red to green, RTT confirms the trend, all lines up on 55, 21, 10. Picked up a chunk and back to work. Unfortunately, I am trading/sniping aby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
I do not know how many of you are actually using RTT research to assist you in finding trades, but it is a tool that is almost a must-if you are looking for one of the strongest forms of confirmation when trading from bigger charts. If historical research through RTT does not indicate that the stock will go in the direction of my trade, it is about a 90% chance I will not place a trade from a Daby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
Although I am busting my butt, studying Big Charts, I still find time to make some money, trading the style I know best. I did a quick snipe on AMZN this morning. Did I follow all the rules? Nope, but when quick sniping, you will most likely not have all the indicators going in your direction, but you must have a strong burst of momentum. I jumped on TSLA this morning. It just would not stop running, so I rode it until I was tired. I know how TSLA can run when it gets started, so I was not going to miss this one. sonicwave, I am in a similar position. I have always been intrigued and wanted to trade off bigger charts for this reason alone. Good stuff Darcy, I have not considered looking at another trading time frame until reading your post. I will do some back testing on that. Darcy, Very good info. I also chime in and agree that your posts are very detailed and informative. Tpplayer, just know, this is a tough time to trade. tplayer32, I tend to experience this slight change each year about this time. I can distinctively remember that during this time last year, stocks were moving a bit slower. It moved slowly, but eventually met most of my criteria. I didby rookie30 - Trading Discussion
As fairly new drivers go through the process of developing discipline, please remember, it is very risky going into a trade during Amateur Hour (9:30-9:45). Today's trade on AMZN presented a smooth entry and exit. I had to trust one of my rules which is, the DOW has to be above 20 or below 20 and going in the direction of my trade. If not, I sit on the fence and wait for momentum to start running in my direction. Honestly, I did not think I was going to have a trade today, but I knew AMZN had broken through resistance at 306/307ish. If you notice,by rookie30 - Trading Discussion
