Money Flow setting is a normal setting offered by the folk through whom you have your charts. Mine is 14. I changed my money flow line to black thickness 2.by Darcy - Trading Discussion
TCB: I wasn’t afraid of this trade at all. The evidence I had gathered and the charts clearly said it would pop. I knew the talking heads (TV) had bad mouthed NFLX because “they don’t get it” but all the big houses (see below) totally “got it”. I just knew that I knew that I knew it would go up. The chart gap and measured move was just too clear for a pop. This was one of those thby Darcy - Trading Discussion
There is a 10 and 20 moving average on a 10 and 21 minute chart. Clearer...on a 10 minute chart you will have a 5, 10 and 20 moving average and a money flow study. On a 21 minute chart you will have a 5, 10 and 20 moving average and a money flow study. On a Daily chart you will have a 5, 10 and 20 moving average and a money flow study. Hope that helps.by Darcy - Trading Discussion
TAD = Technical Analysis for Dummies. Pages 220-222. The charts however are a 10 and 20 moving average chart. You use a 5, 10 and 20 moving average and in studies you use money flow. What I and S/O use is a 55 (Gary chart) a 10 moving average chart, a 21 moving average chart, and a 21 (Gary chart) When all of these agree to a trade we trade. S/O has found that the moving average chart wby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Well I hate the Fall WInter. I hate how slow it is. I love the hard time. That is the best time for me. Crazy I know but the way I have it figured if I can trade in the hard time...I can trade during any of the times. You have the knowledge. You know the summer is choppy. Stick to 2 or 3 stocks and trade only them. I believe you can do it!by Darcy - Trading Discussion
I turn my candles off to assit me in finding support or resistance. That only way I have been able to turn my candles off is to make my chart a line chart. I then take an extension line and put it above my candles and click. Then I change the chart to a line and go back to the extension line and clone. I drag that line extension across the chart and look for at least two touching points and the bby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Rookie, I can’t say I never enter a trade afraid. I do, still do and detest it when I don’t pull a trigger as soon as I see a trade. However over time I have grown less afraid, less fearful that I made the wrong decision. Some of that comes from learning and some of that comes from the head. I am constantly studying charts and reading material about trading and positive thinking. You cby Darcy - Trading Discussion
I use a lap top. Just bought a new one for me. Until recently I traded in my home office with 2 screens. Now it is used to play some castle game by a 13 year old. I seldom go there. My S/O and I trade side by side in our dining room. S/O's computer in his office is used mostly by a 6 year old. My lap tp is 8g and his is 4g. We have no problem at all. I think the screen is 22". I am in NFLX 2 ...$170.00 call. Bought today because of what I use as a measured gap. You can see this on the daily. Use last earnings gap from 1/23 to 1/24. Mark the gap from the close on 1/23 to the bottom of the candle on 1/24 with a red dash line ray. In the center of this gap use the same line ray and mark the center. Use line segment thickness 2 black and measure with the segby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Rookie... Actually trading GAPS are no more technical than learning candles. I have set aside a virtual account only for learning about GAPS. One of the first things to know about GAPS is they almost always close at some point. The second thing to know about GAPS is they may not close for a year or more one the daily. On the 55 chart it doesn't take a year for those GAPS to close. But theby Darcy - Trading Discussion
I am a short chart trader but I have made a note that MM's will only do this for a certain length of time if the stock is moving really "hot". Usually I have noticed around 10:30 - 11:30 the MM's catch the option cost = to the stock price. I had followed the $'s until I learned do not watch my account watch the chart. CMG is real bad to have huge spreads until around 10:30. I don'tby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Today I traded LNKD. I bought off the TAD moving average charts I bought around 11:10 on the TAD 21 chart. On Gary’s chart it shows the candle below the 20 moving average too. I was in until 3PM. I bought 3- 180 May PUTS. On the TAD moving average chart it was clear that this was a trade. Gary's 21 chart worried me some because of the 200 moving average. But I still felt because the marketby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Well I have an entirely different take on how I traded AMZN. I was in this trade on April 11. I got in on the 55 chart when the stock hit 268.93 @ about 12:15. I have a separate account set up which I call my GAP account. Presently it is virtual and it is strictly for learning GAPS. I spend between $2,500 to $4,000. Any way I bought 8 PUTS @ 4.45 and sold them today for 11.70. I did jump a liby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Great trade. I have a new stock I have been watching for a while now, EQIX. I watched it at the open and it was a powerful up. On Gary's 21 chart it broke the 200 ma @ 10:12 and on my 10 and 21 moving average chart it had the "E". I entered my CALL trade with a little "fear" because my 55 chart looked like it might hit the 50 ma and go down but I thought if it coulby Darcy - Trading Discussion

I looked at that today. That looks like a great site and I will listen more. As my S/O and I leave our home business we know we will have to change out LLC over to trading "stuff". Thank you so much....by Darcy - Trading Discussion
My S/O traded CF today as well and hung on until after 3 sold and lost $80.00 on 20 contracts. His charts went sideways. The thing about CF is it does have a tendancy to go down, go sideways (which often causes the option to rise good) and then go down. We are on the second gap down on the 55 chart. Scroll back and look at the 55 chart at the DOJI's on CF. It is also not usual for CF to gaby Darcy - Trading Discussion

BCT: Well we all must have kept CF going down! I want to thank you for your contribution to RTT's message board. You are correct. Great trade Rookie. LOL… I traded CF also. I bought 20 contracts. That candle on the 55 was a great ride. The “general rule* about gaps is “trade in the direction of the gap”. However I have found it all depends on what kind of gap happens which is why I have been studying gaps. Gaps will more often occur on smaller charts. Lately I have been studying “Dead Cat Bounce”. My S/O bought 15 April out of the money contracts WYNN 125 call on April 9th for $1.92 and sold today for $3.20 with a 63% profit. MA was my trade again today. I bought at the second candle open on the 55 chart off the 50 moving average. I got in at 10:37 and bought 6 CALL contracts @ 4.80 and sold them at about 11:00, just a little after 11 when I saw the stock turning on the 10 moving average chart and as the next candle started pulling away from the Bollinger Band on the 55. Try contacting Gary Keesee. He is a Christian and teaches about fixing "the money thing". He owns several businesses, is a pastor and can lead you perhaps in the proper direction on deductions. BCT …I am not hurt, bothered or bugged by the question. I have a thicker hide than a few questions can penetrate. I do not mind trying to get into my head to understand how I trade. First let me say to TCB…We had PM’d each other often enough that I am not the least bit bothered by the sniper reference. Gosh one can’t understand until they ask or even think so that doesn’t bug me in the slightest…really. BCT... No I didn't see it as a sniper trade. The market was up, down, sideways then up before another pull back down. Daily chart clearly on MA showed the trend down today which confirmed all the more reason for me to act. When I enter a trade on my small charts I look at the Daily as I have said in the past to see if it is confirming my trade. This let's me know the strength of my movby Darcy - Trading Discussion
What a great and crazy market today. I actually decided 4/8/13 to watch MA today for a down when on the 55 chart the 2:05 candle could not break through the 50 moving average. So today I entered MA on the 21 moving average chart @ 9:53 buying 4 PUT contracts @ 7.05. I sold @ 11:42 for 9.85. I cleared $1,119.86.by Darcy - Trading Discussion
