Let me add this...I use smaller charts because that is what my schedule allows. Sometimes I stay in a trade because I can see the daily. BUT if you look at the daily charts ...scroll through and look at the moves on 3 of my favorites...CF, MA and FFIV. IF you learn how to peg the entry you can see these stocks would have brought you big $$$$'s. Remember what Gary taught after you enter a tby Darcy - Trading Discussion
I have a simple 21 chart that I have set up beside the 21 chart developed by Gary Williams. This chart has the following a 5, 10, and 20 moving average AND the only study I have on this chart is "money flow". A while back I heard Jon Najarian talking about using money flow to decide whether a stock is a good trade. If money flow goes into a stock then the stock will rise. More reasons for me to love CF. This morning I noted that CF was below the 20 moving average. I had a signal from Gary’s 21 chart. I also had a signal from my special 21 chart with only the 5, 10 and 20 moving average. I got in a PUT @ about 11:34. I bought 10 May PUT 3.30 Contracts = $3315.00 and sold them just a little bit ago on the formation of the candle @ 1:42. I sold 10 PUT 6.05 Cby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Okay let's start with.... "What are you afraid of more?" Losing money or being wrong? If you have set back X amount of dollars THAT YOU DO NOT NEED to pay bills etc. why do you care if you lose it? What if you had it in your wallet and your wallet was stolen? If it is money that is your fear then you have to decide which is more important.... 1 - 2 percent interest in the bank orby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Gary Williams classes are great. If you are a beginner I recommend reading his book list...the entire list. My fav was Market Makers Edge and I keep it by my side every single day. At one time I loved POT (fertilizer folks OK?) until they spun off and made IPI. I have hated it for a trade ever since. So I looked for another fertilizer to trade. You just can’t go wrong with fertilizer when we are using corn to fuel cars. Corn takes A LOT and I do mean A LOT of fertilizer! I found CF and L-O-V-E to trade this stock. When CF fell after their earnings I knew I was going tby Darcy - Trading Discussion
I have found in this zone if I trade like I am in the Summer zone I do better. Volume makes a huge difference. I seldom hold over night and I use the 55 chart for trending but my 34/21 chart for trading. (add the 34 + 21 and you get 55) I also do not trade earnings trades during this zone AND I stay with 1 - 3 different stocks. The talking heads got AMZN and AAPL so wrong it wasn't funny. Whew! CF has been an Ocean Tide up the stairs. I missed the $10 move up…outta town for a long vacation and left my lap top at home. Man that would have been some change in the pocket. Right now I am watching CRUS. It has good volume, moves well and piggy backs off AAPL. IMHO it needs a pull back before I consider a call. I love to see stocks that pop huge, pull back and then climb bacby Darcy - Trading Discussion

I love Expiration Friday weeks. They are so nice to play. Generally I watch for stocks that rise the first part of the week and then have a pull back close to expiration Friday. AAPL had a huge several days to the upside. The talking heads were flapping their lips, drooling over AAPL and the possible $600 mark. A few years ago when I first started practicing I traded an old standby. At one time it was a little over $89.00 a share. I had to build up my real trading account to $5,000.00 saving a little here and there and depositing it into my trading account. As I did that I practiced, practiced and practiced, read books that had been suggested and re-read them highlighting information, and listened to evby Darcy - Trading Discussion
I have loved CF ever since POT did their IPI. I use to play POT often but for me CF has made some really good money. Put that one in your basket and make a note! Thanks BTW.by Darcy - Trading Discussion
This is a trade taught by Gary Williams. I practiced this type of trade for nearly 6 - 7 years before I ever traded it with real money. It is a scary trade because you are playing the opposite of what the stock is doing. It can only be traded on small charts. Again let me assure you not all my trades go this well. I have a loser about every 6th or 7th trade. However if it doesn't work for me wby Darcy - Trading Discussion
According to RTT CF is down 6 out of the last 6 years from 2/27 to 3/5. I got into CF today March 5. CF gapped down on the open and was out of the Bollinger Band. I jumped on this one PDQ however because of the Chinese growth concern causing problems in the commodities, the RTT information, and this is one of my favorite stocks to trade. I like it more than POT. I purchased 5 March 185by Darcy - Trading Discussion
On March 2 (today) I bought PUT contracts of WYNN off the 5 and 55 charts. Yesterday I noted that WYNN had broken a strong resistance line I had on my daily chart. So I was expecting an up but not this strong. I entered my trade using the 5 chart after the candle close at 9:55 and within a minute or so of the following candle open off its high and as the pull back began more strongly on the 55by Darcy - Trading Discussion
Good job. Pinpointing the correct entry is not easy. I have been doing this for years! YEARS! and have only pinpoint the correct entry 4 times. My trades usually turn my way within 30 minutes but not PDQ. I just gotta get over that feeling that "OMG(osh) I am missing my move!" Haven't had that much of that problem lately since the market is moving as slow as pushing a dead cow up Mt. Rby Darcy - Trading Discussion
I have to admit this is a very hard market to trade right now. However I generally trade better in warnings season than I do in earnings season. That is how I have been using RTT and why, at least one reason why, I liked AMZN after they announced earnings. I am a bit bearish and for me AMZN backed up that thought. I bought 3 March PUT contracts of AMZN yesterday at 10:08 AM. I paid $7.75 andby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Thank you. I loved to use the Daily for a trend and then I look at my weekly to estimate how long I should be in. But to me it seems that the Daily isn't working well right now. The market has been so volatile that I have been using smaller charts, faster money and a day is as long as I hold. I had been trading MA catching the PUTS. Take a peek at that 55 chart for MA. On January 26th I decided to make a trade in CF. I had gotten a signal on my buy chart (8 chart) so I placed an order for 3 PUT, Feb 180 contracts. I bought @ $8.30 even though I had wanted a closer spread between my ASK and PUT (spread was 20¢). I generally don’t like anything above a 10¢ spread. It is just a lot to make up. I want my position to move PDQ! There was no signal on my Dailyby Darcy - Trading Discussion

Humm… Discussing current trades would be helpful in some ways but then it makes it easier for someone to jump in on a trade without having done any research on their own. I think most traders don’t like that thought especially after they have studied years to get where they are. Actually there is much more to learn after a trade is over. There isn’t really a lot to say why I got in eby Darcy - Trading Discussion
Thank you for the reminder. It is probably best I do not show the chart. Since I do not know how to post one, blocking the numbers would be an additional "I do not know how to do that".by Darcy - Trading Discussion
Traded BIDU In trade 3/21/11 at abt 10:12 AM Out of trade 3/24/11 on open Used a 55 chart and moving averages to enter trade. Candle found support with all the moving averages I use. They are 200, 50, 20, 10, & 8. I do not use 8 moving average on charts larger than 55. All my indicators on the 55 chart gave me a solid up.
