Oh my gosh. You keep posting those super long scripts and you are going to break the internet. Now stop it!!! Hehehe.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
What did you do??? Did you post every thinkscript ever written in one post. My gosh those three posts have got to be the longest posts I've ever seen. EVER! Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Hi Robert, Seems we had a few conversations in the part concerning the Autowave. Last we discussed it, I was convinced that there was something about the autowave in TOS that wasn't quite right. While it was very very close on some time frames it was off in other time frames. I began to notice that the further back in time you would go the move there seemed to be issues with the autowave.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Since no one has posted to this thread, one can only "assume" that someone has answered your question in a PM. Is that the case?by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yes, sort of there is. Go into the settings and turn it off, or have it float and follow your pointer. It should be on the first tab in settings. Can't remember the details and I don't have TOS in front of me. You can also set it to "fixed" and it will open in it's own window which you can resize down and move it around your charts.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I wasn't saying anything about viruses or what, but you just did. Why would I risk click on a questionable link just to see if it's questionable or not? That defeats the purpose of NOT clicking on questionable urls. "oh my what does this red button do, I don't know let me push it and find out." No one needs to go to some other link besides the actual Think or Swim website. Aby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Welcome to the forums. "Upstate SC" omg that's funny!!! TOS can be a bit of a pain to get right, but once you do your done with it. Sadly though I think the best days of this forum are behind it now. Most of the good contributors have gone silent and moved on. About the only things that happen around here now are folks showing up asking Robert to build some ridiculous scriptby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Admins, could you please take care of this twerp?? Pretty please, with sugar on top.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I just tried to open multiple copies of the program. It doesn't allow that either, so that's out.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Well it is a very small program when it is running. Maybe you can have multiple copies running and use one in each monitor. Just a thought.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Look up in the upper left corner of your screen. It's beside you account # info.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Yeah, I don't care much for those "signals" either. By default those things are turned off when you first load up AC. You'd have to go into the settings and enable them if you want to see them. The "inner circle". Hehehe.... you mean Gary's Groupies. He's developed somewhat of a cult following hasn't he. I think many of them retake the classes just to sit near him andby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Did Alchem Charts actually go after the source code from Qcharts or was that just part of your guess??? Not sure why they would need to. With the help of others, and google I've been able to duplicate everything perfectly from Qcharts within TOS except for one thing. That would be the Autowave stuff. As it is it's very close, but still doesn't match Qcharts autowave perfectly. I've heardby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Thanks for the update RT. I was under the impression that Alchem Charts (AC) was locked down in such a way that they didn't allow any custom stuff. I suppose I could be wrong, but that was my impression. I know that AC is built on the Quant Share platform that is VERY open to customization, maybe even more so than TOS is. I do have a question though. Since you were on SD and loving it, wby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I remember him mentioning (several times) about "coaching clients", but there wasn't any mention concerning cost, and structure. I just assumed it was something you would have to inquire about further to obtain the cost and structure info. I suppose the "coaching client" thing has now turned into "online coaching client".by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
When I took the classes back in 2012 it wasn't mentioned, unless a statement was made while I was in the bathroom of course. It sounds as though much as changed with the Survival weekend classes. May be time to attend another one. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion

Thanks for posting that. Much appreciated. I too am a former Gary W student. I wasn't really interested in pursuing any courses with OTA, I just wanted to learn a bit more about them. I happened to catch them on a radio broadcast and was curious. I'm perfecting happy being a GW student, and baking cakes his way. Thanks again for posting.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I'm not.... They probably ended up in "coding hell" and went looking for a tall bridge to...... well ya know. There is no "black box", and never will be. Those that try, usually drive themselves crazy trying to constantly "fix" it. Which is why you have sooooo many ridiculous indicators on this forum now. This forum has seemed to devolve into a zany indicatoby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
I didn't notice any issues over the weekend. Mine seemed fine. Glad you got it squared away! Did you figure out the issue or did it seem to fix itself? Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Admins, please feel free to delete this thread as it's not needed. I found my answer. Rby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Maybe you'll have to experiment with the time zone settings within ThinkOrSwim. At the very least you may need to verify that it is set to the correct time zone.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion

I couldn't have said it better. I tried to, but I just couldn't. Well put NCT.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
So I'm working on a Watchlist column. I'd like to have the watchlist column show the date that the stock had a split within the last 43 days. I can get the script to show today's date but it won't show the date that the stock split in the last 43 days. The reason I stopped at 43 is because any more than that the the script gives an error of being to complex. I've been working on this for weby RichieRick - Trading Discussion
Gary used to use 2 StochRSI's, then he dropped back to one. Each one had slightly different settings. Remember that Gary himself is still growing and learning throughtout these many years. He just happens to be about 30 years or so ahead of the rest of us. He even admits that in class. He's always tinkering and experimenting to improve himself, and his processes. Yes, there's been some disagreement about the correct DMI settings for some time now. TOS does appear to handle things a little differently than Qcharts that's for sure. I'm not certain on what the final verdict is concerning the Directional Movement indicator (DMI) in order to emulate Qcharts perfectly. Maybe this is it. I'll give it a look when I get back in town. The only indicator I'mby RichieRick - Trading Discussion

It's just 3 simple moving average lines. A 5 period, a 10 period, and a 20 period. When the 5 and 10 cross over the 20, that's your queue to take action in that direction. It came from a book that Darcy read some time back. I don't remember the name of the book. I think the book was on GW's reading list, but I can't remember for sure.by RichieRick - Trading Discussion
