I think NASDAQ mess yesterday is affecting many stocks today. Got in LNKD today as a continuation rather than any HRFP. Still in as in rides the 55 Bollinger band up.by Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
what I see on AAPL daily.... See if this helps. AAPL has hit resistance...scroll back your daily chart to 1/23/13. Draw ray line off bottom of candle 1/23/13 then top of candle 1/24/13 and one in center. Then look where daily candle is hitting today. Once past that ray line AAPL is good to go. That is just my analysis.by Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
So I suppose you are meaning those who have retired using GW's formula's and who has been trading the length of his 5 year schedule provided in 1-5? I don't think there is anyone on this RTT discussion board who meets that requirement. I do have friends who have taken all of GW's classes and who have told me GW's formula for retirement has worked in a very small percentage as GW informed thby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
I do not use an 8 moving average on any chart although you can use an 8 rather than a 10. I would say the 8 would match better with the Fibonacci numbers. My moving averages are 2,3,5,10,20,50, and 200 on all my charts except the E charts. I use a 55 for my trades year 'round however to see if I will have good moves I look at the 233, and daily. A perfect one...I mean perfect. This morning listening to all the hoop-la about HD I decided to look at this stock on the open. Playing a DOW stock is so out of my normal but man oh man I am glad I watched it. On the open up it went an almost immediately it started a pull back. Wham a GREAT Peak play set up if I ever saw one. As the rules say I looked at the 55 and the 5. I bought 30 in thby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion

For me watching the futures especially before the open and when China closes, at Europe's close and after we close here in the US. I do glance something on my charts just hits me wrong, When the market changes over such as from one zone to the next I see it first in my futures as a rule. I do watch my futures mainly because that is how I was taught by GW and since he has been successful Iby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
but it is something I do at least 3 x's per day. I look at my futures charts. Today thus far I didn't see much I have liked when looking at these charts. I like room between my moving averages for my index thus my stock to move. S&P has a death cross on the 55 and Nasdaq is stuck between the 50 and 200 moving average. August is the 3rd worst month for the market. I believe it.by Darcy2 - Trading Discussion

When trading NFLX (for now at least) look for support and resistance on the daily. Right now NFLX on the daily has hit strong support at 251.76. Just my opinion. Addendum: This just a "daily" read.by Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
BCT, Thank you for the encouragement to move on the bigger charts. As of right now I simply do not have the patience for that. Since I am not looking to retire however I have not pressed myself to move past trading. I enjoy the daily/semi-daily cash to be honest. Know that I do practice Printing Press and have on occasion practiced purchasing stock. I haven't left that completely behind. Sby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
I am not retired and probably never will since both my S/O and I work at home and we love what we do. However saying that I would like to cut back some on my hours and would eventually like to hire a part-timer to assist with my employees vaction and sick time. For now that is left up to me. I use generally between $2,500.00 - $3,500.00 per trade and have recently increased this to $2,500.00by Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
Yep gotta watch that price. This is the first thing on the open we watch for movement and direction.by Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
I learned this all by myself. You have to have moving averages matching in two charts or a moving average in one chart and a bollinger band in another. The higher the chart the stronger the possibility of that move. I do not know why it works but that it has.by Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
DARCY2 - I estimated movement to about $235...divided that number by 2 and added that to the current area my option was in. I accepted $9.40 becase it wouldn't accept $9.45. Welcome. You did great job on the CD's. Been to GW's classes 4x's on Advanced twice. Studied for many yeas losing my basket along the way and getting it back only to lose again but finally I GOT IT! rufinatti, You are welcome. I had plenty of $150.00 days which built my account and confidence. Heck I had many $80.00 days and was thrilled. I am sitting here beside my S/O and asking him what did he see in MON to do a call? He says all he saw was the 5 crossing the 10 on the 5 E chart. He now sees the 5 crossing the 10 @ 1:04 PM going back down. So I asked him if it was ready yet and he said, "not yet". This is sort of a blow by blow post. I'll let you know if he gets in MON again. Yes S/O does day trade when he sees aby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
Trading the news isn't always the smart move. Today I read to my S/O the information from Briefing about MON. It read: " Ag/potash names strong off the open (MOS +2.6%, IPI +2.3%, SQM +2.1%, POT +1.5%, UAN +0.6%, DOW +0.5%, CNH +0.3%, MON +0.3%, TNH +0.3%) :" Now one would think it would have been safe to trade MON on a call with this type of info but that is not what the chart rby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
First always make sure the market is moving in the direction of your trade. I trade short charts but I do use the daily to see how over the last several days my stock has traded and if I have room for movement between the moving averages or if I am going to fight them during my trade. I also use these when I have gaps. I think that is what you are meaning when you said: "1. Daily recentby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
If you were with RTT the seasonal heat map for WLP was 90- 100 percent up. Today from the open to now WLP moved $1.30 up. This is not one of my regular stocks. I trade simple calls and puts. I do mark my daily and 55 chart for the day a company is to report earnings. I use a dark green dash line for the day of (one for market close and one for market open) and then I use dark green dot lines to mark 1-2-3 weeks before earnings. As the earnings date gets close I mark 5 days before reporting earnings. I traded only once going through earnings based entby Darcy2 - Trading Discussion
