Hey I have found that in order to have the "E" moving avgs. without the clutter you can create a new small chart with only the "E" moving avgs and place it over top of the other chart. This way is less clutter and still at a glance you can see what is developing.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Dan, thank you that matches up almost identical to SD now, appreciate it.by TCB - Trading Discussion
The settings are the same in SD and TOS as per GW's settings but there is a difference in the ADX value, the DMI's value are about identical. Richie: I use the ADX line showing as per Darcy to show the stength of the movement. When you choose to not show it, like you said it just skews the scale because it doesn't have to incorporate it in the study then. That's just the way I understand it.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Has anyone noticed the difference in the reporting of the values of the ADX indicator between StrategyDesk and TOS. The overall line looks the same but the difference in the value reported is very different. Ex. MOS on SD on 13 min chart reports 50.96 vs TOS's value of 70.02 at the same time and candle. Just was wondering why such a big difference, thanksby TCB - Trading Discussion
Great post, and trades for your S/O. I was wondering as Chunk was that doesn't having the "E" moving averages on the charts in addition to the GW settings make it cluttered. Also what signaled to play CMI even though it was clear on the charts for the down play but also the play was against the overall? Thanks for all your postsby TCB - Trading Discussion
I use TOS and SD, and it doesn't make that much difference. I do not use it.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Good trade for a brick, GTC are good as you can see how quickly a stock can turn.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Thanks for sharing that Robert, will give it a tryby TCB - Trading Discussion
I have also been whipsawed in and out of trades, chart can show HRFP and before you can be profitable it can reverse and even show a HRFP the other way.by TCB - Trading Discussion
I also didn't find a trade yesterday with the market soaring up. Kinda think it was a head fake also with people taking some profits off of the current run down and the hope of the debt ceiling plan.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Traded FOSL yesterday off of the 233,Daily. It had a HRFP on them and also spotted a bullish divergence on the 233 and Daily where stock made it higher but the StockRSI did not make the same high. My entry was around 12:30 and later than I would have liked but although the 233 was decision I waited on the candle on the 55 to close below the 200ma. Exited today when GTC was hit for a small brick.by TCB - Trading Discussion
That's funny Rookie, and I also couldn't get through Pring's book without dozing. LOLby TCB - Trading Discussion
It appears like it might be with the neckline in the area of around 14800, and the way I understand that if it breaks the neck line further downside should be expected.by TCB - Trading Discussion
I was using only 3 custom column setting, avg vol., open signal and daily trend and I haven't had any issues with them. My open signal was based on a formula that returned the numerical value instead of the color, which btw the color signal is better.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Excellent post, thank you for sharing that. I was already looking at some of that info in the custom columns under TOS but the way you provided will help to give a quick visual as well. Great infoby TCB - Trading Discussion
I use SD and TOS. I was told by a thinkscript forum that the study zigzag was comparable in TOS to the autowave feature in Qcharts. I am unfamiliar with the study and do not know the parameters to enter other than the default in TOS. I don't know how to use it in SD.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Darcy, Thanks for the helpful insight. I appreciate it!by TCB - Trading Discussion
I saw a trade on the qqq's today. I had a HRFP on the 21, 34, & 55, above 10ma on 21, 34, & 55, adx trend up and mf going up, nas futures and market going up, and first candle closed above previous day's high. Also had the "E" on 5,10,&13 MA chart. I entered off of the 3 MA chart around 9:42. I bought Oct. 79 call for .68 and it went as high as .78 which is where I should haby TCB - Trading Discussion

Thanks BCT for the post and please keep posting. Great to see the trades off of the big charts. Congrats on the wedding ChairmanFaust.by TCB - Trading Discussion
I have a question if anyone could help me see what happened with this following trade. Look at BA on 8-27. HRFP down on 233/Daily and weekly. Fell below support on Daily (50 & 10), (20&10) on 233. Even riding 55 down on BB. Market was down going in the direction of trade. Even with all that, next day on 233 slightly up and then off to upside it goes. What did I miss for it to reverse likeby TCB - Trading Discussion
Have a good break. Happy Labor Day, and good luck on the projects 'round the house.by TCB - Trading Discussion
AAPL seems to be trading sideways on 233 with the 10ma giving some resistance and on the Daily the 10 is showing it has support around 497, indicators are still down on these charts but I feel as if they should turn around as it approached that support, interesting to watch and see.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Mtut, Nice work there, you can also set SD to screen stocks based on the custom time frame FP, HRFP settings.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Awesome quick trade, is that why you chose the weekly option?by TCB - Trading Discussion
BCT, Thanks for sharing those great trades.by TCB - Trading Discussion
Thanks for sharing guys, really great inspiring stories. I took class in 2004. I had and was in the typical "rat race" mentality, in debt and just charge it and pay later until I finally had enough and wanted to get my finances straight and a friend told me about this class. I feel as if God opened a door for me by leading me to this class. I took it along with some co-worker friends ofby TCB - Trading Discussion
