QuoteDynaMike Welcome back, Robert! Thanks. QuoteDynaMike Welcome back, Robert! I use this code a lot on my charts. But Is there any way to make this code into a "scan" ? Nope. It is far to complex. That script uses several loops (fold statements) to look at what happens after the current bar. See this post for an explanation as to why the scan cannot "look into the futby robert - Trading Discussion
QuotePalmer So, how do a running total the volume from 1500 to say 2000? Heading to dinner, so no time for a complete answer this evening. You need to use a self-referencing variable to maintain a running total. Something along the lines of this (not an actual line of code) def CumulativeVolume = if {bar@1500} then volume else CumulativeVolume[1] + volume;by robert - Trading Discussion
QuoteRichieRick So I'm working on a Watchlist column. I'd like to have the watchlist column show the date that the stock had a split within the last 43 days. I can get the script to show today's date but it won't show the date that the stock split in the last 43 days. The reason I stopped at 43 is because any more than that the the script gives an error of being to complex. I've been workingby robert - Trading Discussion
Quotexilb51x hello, just bought your auto trend lines, is it possible to also view the old trend lines? That isn't possible as originally coded. I am working on adding that functionality now, though. However, it will require a serious change in methodology. QuoteTexasJohn Have a couple of lattes on me Thank you very much! No lattes today, though. QuoteTexasJohn I am trying to setup an alert that will notify me every time the DI_ADX_TREND-INDICATOR goes from weak to strong. can someone tell me if what I have in the code section is the most efficient way to do this. def Strong = if ADX > ADX[1] then ADX else Double.NaN; alert(Strong, getsymbol() + "ADX Stronger", alert.bar, sound.bell); John, As currently writteby robert - Trading Discussion
Quotemntman excellent work robert... im really enjoying the auto trend lines script this week! works great for tech analysis when combined with your support/resistance lines and the pivot2 labels in your basic market structure. its saving me a lot of time from manually drawing the trend lines now. Quotexilb51x does that script come with the fib lines? nice to have you back Robert! Thanks. I'm not fully back, though. At least, I cannot be as active as I used to be because life has changed quite a bit since last year and I don't have the time I used to have. QuoteJxnMStrader I need some guidance on the specifics of how to do this. I tried doing it but never could get any results. Thanks to all who help others on this board! Just stating that you'd like to scan for ATR is pretty general. It would help greatly if you would be more specific. Do you want to scan for all stocks with a 20 day ATR greater than 3? That's all the time I have this morning. I don't know when I'll have the time to post again as I'm still very busy with school. Best of luck to everyone. See you around.by robert - Trading Discussion
Quotepivotalinsight I'm trying to create a scan that identifies stock breakout candidates where today's open is 2+ standard deviations of the ATR above or below the previous day's close. Here's what I have so far however TOS doesn't like it so I believe I have the incorrect syntax. Any help is much appreciated! Quotegblinc2 I am also interested in creating what I call the slingshot rubber band effect on Bollinger band by looking for when price action is greater than 2 standard deviation, plus and minus. Have it as a watchlist and on the chart. So you are just looking for when price is outside of the bollinger bands? Quotegblinc2 I do need help on scripting for a scan on optionable weekly stocks with vol greater than 500,000, minimum of 9 consecutive of lower closes or higher closes and a change in price direction. I am essentially looking for trend reversal based on price action. I am imagining this will be a study filter on ToS? This should be easy to do. QuoteRichieRick For the Autowave we use in TOS, is there a way to put the chartbubble or the data on the center of the Autowave line just like it is in Qcharts? Not easily. You might be able to figure something out but it would be pretty complicated.by robert - Trading Discussion

Quotelinter Wonder if any of my betters here can confirm that this study does what I'm hoping it does. Which is, to give the daily range from open to close such that gaps at the open are not included. #>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>&by robert - Trading Discussion
QuoteRalph53 Robert, that works great. 1) How can I make the Autowave line invisible in the previous script? Just uncheck the "show plot" checkbox in the script settings panel. This works for any plot you want to hide.by robert - Trading Discussion
QuoteRichieRick Simple question smiling smiley Is there a way to display the chart time frame on or within the chart window? QuoteRalph53 This is a great script from an earlier page. Does anyone know how to alter it so that the AddChartBubbles (just the red and green ones) will show the actual price value of the highs and lows instead of the rise or decline from the previous bubble (while leaving the white bubble alone)? Ralph53, I don’t think I’ll be able to get to this for quite some time. I just found out last Friday that I’ve been accepted into an accelerated programming course. It started today. The first module is cramming a normally 16 week course into only 3. The next 8 week module will be equally demanding, I’m sure. So, I’m going to be too busy for ThinkScript for the time being.by robert - Trading Discussion
Ralph53, I see nothing wrong with your code. I believe the problem lies with the way the custom watchlist columns work. I don't trust them for real-time data. See this post for one example. Here's another simple example. Put this extremely basic script into a custom column to calculate the net change in price.
