Robert, this baby still not working out, just not getting the alert after the white volume bars paint. PS. Any idea why this copy paste ("Up"("Down" posts with the smilies? Thanks declare lower; declare zerobase; plot Vol = volume; Vol.SetPaintingStrategy(PaintingStrategy.HISTOGRAM); Vol.SetLineWeight(3); Vol.DefineColor("Up", Color.green); Vol.DefineColorby mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Lol, I thought so, ding ding ding all day long. Lol Thanks Robert, small token of my appreciation sent your way.by mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Robert, tried this out today, wasn't really working out. Trying to get the alarm to signal once the volume bar paints white. Alarms were going off but most times didn't coincide with the painted white bar. If you don't mind taking another peek at that would gladly contribute to the coffee cup fund. Using volume sub on 3200 tick charts for your information if that matters... Thank you. declarby mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Thanks Robert will give that a try.by mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Hi Robert, we're back again with another request. Is there anyway to attach a sounded alert to the following script. I would like to get the code to alert when the white volume tick is painted. I'm sure you know the white volume tick generally coincides with either a doji or hammer like candle. That would signal a bounce or trend change possibility. Many thanks declare lower; declare zerby mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Thanks Robert, sent a little something your way for your time.by mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Dang, I forgot that I am using daily sma incorporated with the 4 hour charts and just the sma isn't going to work for me. Have you got a quick fix for the DailySMA. Sorry and thanks again.by mark1234 - Trading Discussion

Hi Robert. Have a request for you. Is there any way to plot a moving average in this fashion. Rather than the plot dma lines throughout the entire chart in the traditional way I would like to shorten those lines so that the dma lines plot over say the last 5 candles only. I like to keep my charts clean but having 3 or 4 moving average lines crossing all over my charts creates too muchby mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Got it !!! Now works with directional arrows rather than altering the bar color. (I don't know why I'm getting smilie faces in the code pasted here) input HLLength = 16; input ATRLength = 9; input factor = 2.5; input paintBars = no; Assert(factor > 0, "'factor' must be positive: " + factor); def AATR = factor * Average(AvgTrueRange(high, close, low, ATRLength), ATRLengby mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Hey Robert, I have a indicator that I am interested in having reworked. The code is the LBR PaintBars. I like the indicator but don't want the bars to be painted as performed by the indicator. I would rather have a red or green dot under and over the candles. Your help is always appreciated, thanks. ########################## input HLLength = 16; input ATRLength = 9; input factor =by mark1234 - Trading Discussion

Excellent, thank you so much here is the script for those that are interested, declare hide_on_intraday; input price = close; input length = 30; input displace = 0; plot SMA = Average(price[-displace], length); SMA.SetDefaultColor(GetColor(1));by mark1234 - Trading Discussion
Hi Robert, been following this thread and want to say I appreciate your generosity. I wonder if I could to call upon your expertise. I am having some difficulty creating a thinkscript of a simple moving average that will show exclusively on my daily charts. For example when I click on my daily chart the SMA will automatically display the 30, 50, and 100 day moving average lines, when I go bacby mark1234 - Trading Discussion
