I understand your point about Market Data & Exchange fees. And you can only go so low on your price - unless you want to lose money & that's not a very good business model . I don't want to be a doubter, but the version you're offering basically sounds like a scaled-down version of Qcharts, with a few nice-to-have features such as the Split/Earnings info, Candlestick patterns, etc. Thby cheetah - Trading Discussion
I can't believe they're considering keeping the cost comparible to Qcharts when you can setup TOS with identical settings for free. We shall see.....by cheetah - Trading Discussion
Thank you Darcy. I understand your thought process.by cheetah - Trading Discussion
Darcy - just to be clear, these trades were made using ONLY the E signal on all the charts you use for that. No other factor caused you to trade (other than picking stocks that move of course)?by cheetah - Trading Discussion
in my mind, it's just a blurb that states what may have made the Market move that particular day.by cheetah - Trading Discussion
Robert - thanks again. Great infoby cheetah - Trading Discussion
So you look for a HRFP on GW's 55 & 21 charts first - then look at the 10 & 21 "E" charts normally (go down to a 5 "E" chart for summertime trading) and you are looking for separation between the "E" moving average lines, & strength in the ADX and Money Flow -- with the mindset that you are going to be in the trade for a very short time due to trading offby cheetah - Trading Discussion
Darcy, did the fact that WLT gapped up some Tues morning influence the decision to buy because it led to separation in the "E" moving averages? The crosses for the E actually took place Monday afternoonby cheetah - Trading Discussion
Thanks for the response - that makes perfect sense. I appreciate your willingness to break down trades for the forum - it is a big help.by cheetah - Trading Discussion
BCT - so after today, would you be looking for some kind of pullback on LNKD, as Gary teaches, or jumping on the train. I'm always confused on that part. If there's a HRFP & I expect to be in for a longer duration (because it's on a bigger chart), do I really need to wait for a pullback or be Happy in Seattle on the entry so to speak?. Basically, not worrying about the pullback (maybe becby cheetah - Trading Discussion
Darcy - wow, now that's what I call a brick! I am a little confused though. Did you put in a $2 GTC because you expected the stock to go down that much ,even without the bad news coming out? $2 is a significant move for a low-priced stock & also considering the spread on WLT & that we're in the summertime zone - I would've been looking for a smaller profit. You also said bad news camby cheetah - Trading Discussion
Haven't made the switch yet, but I'm curious to know how former Qchart users like the Tradestation charting platform compared to Qcharts. I'm talking more user-friendliness - not connectivity issues. Like, can you scroll the charts backwards/forwards and up & down; get all indicators setup the same as Gary's settings; adjust spacing between candles; go to a specific date (search) - to nameby cheetah - Trading Discussion
The 55, 34, & 21 all being oversold or outside the bottom BB would have kept me out of the trade as well. I can see his thought on the 55 having a little more room to go down though & since the stock gapped down - should probably expect some more down before bouncing. Take the quick profit & run. Looking at the Weekly on BIIB, there may be more opportunity to play PUTs coming upby cheetah - Trading Discussion
brcurley You DO NOT have to get a promotion if you trade 50 contracts or 5000 shares a month. They count stock & option trades combined, so as has been stated previously - if you make a trade with only 10 contracts, then sell those 10 contracts - that's 20 contracts or the equivalent of 2000 shares. Make 3 trades like that a month & you're over the minimum & there is no charge forby cheetah - Trading Discussion
I'm new to the site, but thankful that there WAS discussion on charting providers. I thought the point about the charts was offering a free and/or inexpensive alternative to Qcharts - not saying it would improve trading. At least that's what i saw in the discussion. You are correct - switching charts will not improve your trading, but since charts are charts - why spend $150 -200/month on Qchaby cheetah - Trading Discussion
