For those of you using Alchemcharts to trade the QQQs, you'll notice a suspect 'tick' that occurred on May 2 on some chart time frames, such as 233, 55 and 34. Each time frame has candles closing at different times, but this is clearly an outlier. I've requested that they work with their data provided to fix this, as it's compressing Bolinger Bands, moving averages, etc. Feel free to contact Alcby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
You guys are spot on! I enjoy using Alchem Charts as well, as it keeps things simple, aligns to GW's way of trading, and gives me everything I need to trade consistently and profitably. The only other 'tool' I use is researchtrade.com. Marry up their trends with your technical indicators, and you've got more trades than you can shake a stick at. Trade well & practice more, folks!by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Regarding the CXO trade, neither the Monthly nor Weekly supported this trade. Any historical (seasonal or earnings) data to support this? Any continuation or reversal patterns in place? None that I can see. That said, a good rule of thumb on any SLI entry point is to exit the trade if, by the 3rd period from the entry candle, the trade isn't going in your direction, period. Hi ANKY, You're "BS" indicator is intriguing (like the name - "Buy Signal" vs. "Bull S&!t", LOL). Lines up w/ a recent real-money trade I did only TSLA. I put in a GTC for 15% only b/c the Weekly indicators weren't as strong as I like, but figured the Monthly indicators would get me there OK, which it did :-)... AC is pretty well locked down. You have to go through their Support Team if you have something on your wish list to have added. And, in my view, their support team is fantastic. I don't think it's a big operation, but they are very responsive and I like that. Reason I didn't just switch to TOS automatically is because the interface appeared overly complicated for what I wanted, and AC was alreadyby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
As most of you already know, StrategyDesk (SD) has been "retired", may it R.I.P. I've now switched to AlchemCharts (AC), and so far, I like it. I took WSB in 2005, RTP in 2007, Advanced Course and DE, but have not taken any of the Survivor courses, and don't have an appreciation (yet) of some aspects of AC. But that's ok, I have pretty much what I need to continue to trade successfully,by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
For those of you (like me) still using StrategyDesk (SD) as your primary charting platform, here's the code I use to track & signal E-trades. Two additional twists I introduced were the Weekly & Daily trends (i.e., E signal must be in the same direction as Weekly and Daily charts). Feel free to cut/paste into your SD platform: {MTUT_W_and_D_Trend} (MovingAverage > MovingAverage ANDby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

I've read several messages on this forum where folks have had difficulty accessing their charting services (AlchemCharts, QCharts, TOS, others) because of firewall restrictions or other technical limitations at work. I encountered the same issue when I tried accessing QCharts from work, and subsequently the same issue w/ StrategyDesk. NCT, Is your screen shot from Alchemcharts? How do you like it, compared to Qcharts or TOS? I'm still on StrategyDesk, but have no idea how much longer TDAmeritrade will support it. Just curious to know Pros/Cons of Alchemcharts from yourself and others, many thanks in advance. Kind regards, RaleighTraderby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

NMR, I'm now practicing looking at the 3 min chart as well for a E-signal trade back up and see if this works better than tracking the 1 min chart. Definitely need to come up w/ sound criteria to allow a trade to run. Case in point was my CMG trade below; The option went all the way to $17.00 before backing off. I was already out of the trade with a 15% GTC target. I'll analyze this & seeby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

NMR, Thanks for the positive feedback. Using StrategyDesk, I rely on it's Alert Manager feature to signal when all my formula conditions are met, not on a visual of all E charts as some do w/ TOS. So, it could be that, for 1 minute, all conditions were met, then it immediately went away, I have no idea. If you're watching the color of 6 E charts, then you could theoretically turn away from youby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Noticed we haven't had much in the way of postings on the E success topic, but just wanted to share with you a couple of example trades I did this AM that all of you can do if you believe in, and use, the "E" chart trade set up MTUT and others have talked about & contributed ALOT to in this thread. First of all, I had E signals fire (to the upside) for the following stocks this mby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Prime example of what I'm referring to above... TSLA - all "E" signals fired (on my instance of SD) @ 9:33AM today. Watched the 1 min chart & entered the trade at 10:45AM (CALLS) using a combination of what I was taught in Classes 1-5, RTP, and DE. If you've taken these classes & practiced the techniques, you'll know what I'm talking about. When I started practicing the &by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Agree with NMR, this works. That said, I never enter the trade when the "E" signal fires. I use the 1 minute chart and principles taught in RTP & DE classes to pin point my entry. Jumping the trade when "E" fires has the potential to be either very profitable or a huge loss if you're not careful. Using the 1 minute chart takes these extremes out of the picture and greatlyby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
Here are the stocks I track for "E"; AAPL AMZN BIDU LNKD NFLX QCOM QQQ SPY and TSLA. Played PUTS on BIDU and NFLX today with easy 15% gains on both. Would have played PUTS on AAPL at precisely 12:43pm, but was on a confernence call and couldn't . Happy Trading, guys!by RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion
What would be interesting to share are the times/prices at which our "E" signals fire (assuming we're using the same "E" charts, Trend, Money Flow & ADX values posted in this thread), as some of us are on StrategyDesk, TOS, and possibly AlchemCharts. This would provide some interesting context in terms of what we see & when. I use StrategyDesk, and had the following &qby RaleighTrader - Trading Discussion

MTUT, I didn't see AMZN signals fire at the open this AM. Was this one that was 'close' to firing, or did you have all signals fire? In SD, I've set up custom columns and code that check E, ADX > 25, MF and Trend for 30,20,10,8,5,3 charts, but none of the 5 stocks fired for me this AM. What might I be missing? Thanks much!
