Cut yourself some slack. You are still learning (as we all are). You will get to 20% (and beyond) before you know it. If you can get 15% each trade for 8 trades per month, that is pretty fantastic.by dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Hi Rookie30, Kars is right ... 15% compounded over time is a pretty decent return. Good job getting out before you were crushed. Donnaby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Hi Kars, I have done really well at W&O this last year, but have lost my trading baset in it entirety twice. I am currently trying to rebuild my trading basket again. UGH. I know how you feel. Keep practicing the trading leg and keep trading W&O. You ARE good at W&O. If you don't trade real money in the trading leg, then PRACTICE!!! It doesn't matter if they are perfecby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
rookie30, how did your other trade go?by dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
No, not obsolete. A lot of the same principles, but he approached it differently ... streamlined ... simplier ... more indicators ... no short charts ... etc. He took some things from the advanced classes (RTP, DE) and incorporated them into the weekend classes. If you took the advanced classes, it might not be anything new for you. I would highly recommend it. He is constantly evolvinby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Yes, he said there is a Survival Weekend #1 Newsletter available (twice a month I think), if you have attended the Survival Weekend. It is somewhere around $300 per year. There is also an RTP newsletter available if you have taken the RTP classes.by dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
He also said that RTP classes will be held in 2014.by dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
I have used Think or Swim, and I was not able to use it as well as QCharts. I went back to QCharts. I couldn't figure out how to slide the chart to see past time periods. It is free, but I am addicted to QCharts. I heard this weekend that there may be another option for charting in the near future, but it is not available yet. If I hear anything, I will pass it on. I was there this weekend. I am soooo excited. It just seems so much simpler than the old method. Donnaby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Thanks for the update. I am glad to hear the class was valuable. I heard he was tenatively scheduling the next class for early January. Did he mention anything about the upcoming schedule?by dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Rookie, I have Scottrade for my W&O because the stock trades are cheaper ($7), and OE for my trading leg because the options trades are cheaper in OE ($15 for up to 10 contracts). Scottrade's options trades are more expensive than OE. I think they are $7 plus $1.25 per contract. For 10 contracts, this is $19.25 ... although if you are only doing 2 contracts, that would be $9.50 (cheaperby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
I don't know anyone who hasn't done exactly what you did. You don't have to worry about people throwing bricks at you ... we all live in glass houses. I am not brave enough to hold a trade overnight right now (except for W&O). It is too unpredictable. This morning, I saw a trade on the Q's. It was sooooo beautiful. HRFP on the 233 going down. HRFP on the 21 minute chart going dowby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Thanks for the information. What are the dates/times for the class? Donnaby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Where can I get more information about these classes in Raleigh? Did his email provide a phone number, email address, or website? Thanks, Donnaby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Hi Darcy, I remember that you said that you love to play the gaps. How do you play the gaps? What do you look for? It seems that sometimes it moves back to close the gap, and sometimes it continues in the direction of the gap. How can you tell which way it will go? Donnaby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
I have also wondered this, but I think it is 1) how news items and economic reports move the market (as a whole) 2) that trading based on stock specific news does not work Also, I think the exposure to different stock symbols is an added benefit. I am not sure this is the right answer, but I have thought about that too. Good question. I will be interested to hear what otheby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
I know what you mean about Gary Williams. He has changed my life as well. He teaches all the things I believed for the past 15 years, but just didn't know how to put together and make it work. This class just came along at the right time in my life. I am REALLY sad to know that there are no more classes, but I understand his frustration. I tell EVERYONE about this program. Sorry you missedby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
So he does not have any classes available any more ... not even virtual classes online? I am so sad.by dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
Hi Rookie, Thanks so much for asking your friends. I really appreciate it. I often thought about taking the RTP class. Can you find out if the RTP class is still offered? I took the WSB class online in 2008, and I tell everyone how great it is, but I don't want to keep raving about it if nobody can take the classes. Thanks for checking!!!by dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
I am trying to help someone find more information about the online classes offered by Gary Williams, and I cannot access his website any more. The website I am looking for is www.achieverschoicequest.com. Did he change websites? Is he still in business? Donnaby dmkratzer - Trading Discussion
