just curious, that once a purchased downloadable strategy indicator is downloaded, is it possible that the place it was purchase could make the indicator "expire" unless there is a fee paid? I'm not that familiar with this concept

yes that is very possible
But most of the time it's done to protect them from their indicator from being given away to others for free
and most will just ask you to log into your account and download the new one that will expire in one month to a year
